- Two days after the debacle, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi meeting Indian players in the dressing room right after the match and consoling the crestfallen players. The video has come amid widespread disappointment among Indian fans after the World Cup Final loss at the hands of Australia. Team India faced a heart-breaking loss to Australia in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final on November 19. Despite the disappointment, the top wicket-taker in the tournament, Mohammed Shami expressed his gratitude to fans for their support. India came close to clinching the World Cup trophy after 12 years. So far, India has reached the finals of the World Cup four times and came out victorious two times in 1983 and 2011 whereas lost to Australia on both occasions in 2003 and 2023.

Even i feel that it is not our team's lost but it is my loss against australia..And on the other hand, australians depite getting the world cup trophy, people like ricky ponting are mocking India for making a pitch which backfired India badly..I mean they got the trophy, they got what they desired, but still they are not happy with it and are mocking India with false allegations stating " despite India buying icc and making their own pitches, they lost ". We Indians should know that not only pakistan and china, we have many other enemies who leave no stone unturned in defaming and insulting India..For example : british article stating "India changed the pitch for semi final to make it in their favor " and australian media supporting it and has been discrediting India throughout the world cup..Britishers just cant digest the fact that a nation which they colonized is exceling in every field and surpassing them and australians didnt want India to equal their 11 match unbeaten streak and I have seen them speaking about it in fox cricket with Adam Gilchrist in conversation ..When WC is held in their country, no one speaks of crowd support, pitch and conditions favoring home side, pitch altered, and so on but when WC is held in India, all these nonsense surfaced in the news only to tarnish the image of India and Indian cricket and to discredit India's achievement in cricket..We Indians should do something about it..
