What happened at Jimi Hendrix's chaotic jam with Jim Morrison? The two catastrophic events Jimi Hendrix met Jim Morrison #rock #guitar #jimihendrix #jimmorrison
Danny Fields also said that Linda Eastman (who later became Linda McCartney) shot a roll of film, photographing Hendrix and Morrison at the Scene Club in March of 1968. The photos were never published.
Here we are in 2024 & the music industry markets Ozzy as the Prince of Darkness. Then there's the second wave of corpse paint wearing Black Metal clowns that overdosed on too many horror films & they all fail in comparison to Morrison. Jim Morrison was the original Prince of Darkness. He didn't need to bite the head off a dove or bat like Ozzy. He didn't have to put on corpse paint & chat Hail Satan! On stage. He just unleashed chaos & darkness without even trying & he did it all in the 60s & early 70s. Jim Morrison was & still is the Goat of shock in rock music.
Mic drop. Hell ya lol. Too bad Jim was such an ass. Jimi was enlightened and Jim was troubled but still One of the greatest voices and writers in modern music history. Jimi did collaborations with the best of the best, he was a virtuoso. Jim would've needed a similar attitude to collaborate with Hendrix.
Alcohol will always bring out the worst too. Even Joplin has some stories of her 'being an asshole'. Perhaps under different circumstances, however, with a more mellow buzz, Jim and Jimi could have collaborated on some level but we will never know.
Jimi wasn't as much as a lyricist as Jim though, plus thats because he was drinking most od the time which deteroiated his wellbeing and health by the time he met Jimi
The more I learn about Jimi Hendrix, the more I love him.
Hendrix used to get stupidly drunk and rough up groupies.........I have yet to hear nor read anything about Morrison being a Woman beater.
Me too! And the more I learn about Morrison, the more I hate him.

The more i learn about the two, the more i respect them

Far Out. These guys were poets, man.
Yeah, but Joplin also said Morrison was her favourite vocalist.....so...🤷♂️
I have the bootleg album of this. Its titled "Woke up this morning and found myself dead"
Yes! With Morrison screaming "f**k her in the a**"

If you read Morrison's poetry he was definitely enlightened, he just might have had stronger demons than Hendrix.
Jim was a philosopher and a thinker not a tecnichian like Hendrix, thats why he probabily felt inadequate in that environment

@@mcnowskiMorrison is very overrated as a poet. Mostly nonsensical drunken jibberish
