I ride up Poly Neil from the bottom. Good thing you turned around. Big sippy hole just below where pivoted your bike. I brought my 2nd Gen KLR up over a couple weeks ago and the big hole was a couple inches of ice and I had to break my way through it in the dark. If you ride Green Ridge efficiently you can get over 70 mile inside the forest in just a few hours.
The tires on my vstrom are 80% street - 20% dirt. I was slow and happy with not laying it down. I do like riding it better than sleepy creek. There's more to explore.

last time i was on those roads was on my 85 Gold Wing with an adult passenger (Sandy Ludwig).....
Honestly, I'm confident I could ride with my wife there on my goldwing. But she wouldn't and I wouldn't either.
