i remember this guy selling the beatles contract for $1million.
Same lol
A photocopy of that contract was offered in a later Capitol reissue collection, just like the one he wanted to sell to Rick.
Yup, that same contract sold for $343k. He should have gone for the 350k.
Yeah and now he is settling for $500 lmao
I like how the script writers try to make Rick look like he knows what he's talking about.
I am taking a real shot in the dark........ I AM REALLY HAPPY I PICKED THIS UP, PEOPLE ARE CRAZY ABOUT THE BEATLES
This is like the Holy Grail of alternate Beatles album covers
That'd be the Butcher album, lol
@Ian Turner Isn't there one where Paul/Faul is barefoot with a toe tag or something Paul is Ded(sic) !!!
What about The "A Doll's House" cover?
Ok I will give you fiver for it. 😂😂😂😂
@@joshfilmsstuff9769 loads of butcher covers around actually
Art of Negotiation by Rick: "I'm really taking a shot in the dark here..", Rick during negotiation. "People are crazy about Beatles. ... No Brainer.", Rick after negotiation.
I checked the Pawn Stars website a couple months ago and it was listed there for $4,000. It's not there anymore. So much for it being hard to put a price on it...
"I'm really taking a chance on this'? No way! ANYTHING Beatles will sell!
"Im taking a real shot in the dark." Behind the scenes, "this was a no brainer purchase!"
Mr. Brown and the Beatles sang along famously
The Holy Grail of American coins shits all over Mr. Brown.
fuck you and your mister brown nonsense
I love these end sequences where Rick completely contradicts himself in the video and alludes to the fact that it'll be easy af to sell.
Music memorabilia like this is the stuff rick really gets vicious and try’s to rip the costumer off as hard as he can and that’s because he knows he’s going to make nothing off it because is going to be hanging on the wall in his house
This is an insult to the alternate "Sgt. Pepper's" album cover community.
lollololol
The album's concept was Paul McCartney's idea.......genius.
the One and Only Billy Shears!
I read the news today ohhh boy
He blew his mind out in a car. This is actually the first album without Paul McCartney.
@@rebelwithacause3574 Nice joke, tell us more.
It's simply another picture from the photo shoot, not an "alternate album cover".
The only other one of these I've ever seen sits in the Beatles Story Museum in Liverpool!!! I'd give my right arm to own one of these!
John also wanted Hitler on the album but his request was strictly denied!
Here's a Sgt. Pepper's fact you should know: Elvis Presley actually went up to President Richard Nixon and wanted to banned The Beatles because Karl Marx was on the cover of the album.
Thank goodness it didn't went through!
I caught the album myself.
Bahahaha
This is the first comment I've liked in a while, thank you my friend. That was great.
And YA Tittle threw it to you
Yeah see i agree with him , if u have never heard of the Beatles before then you seriously need to get out more
Sold it for 100,000.
yen.
David Valdez what is that like 5 pesos, amigo?!
Lol theyre playing i can get no satisfaction at the beginning
That's how the sellers feel every single time Rick makes them a counter-offer.
Matthieu Vonlanthen 😂😂
And then some tie-in Indian music.
Two facts about the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album are:
1. The album having Karl Marx on the cover had Elvis Presley go to Richard Nixon and demand to banned The Beatles. Luckily it failed.
2. After the Monkees' third/first real album *(Where they wrote their own songs)* *Headquarters* was number one for a week, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band knocked it down and it became the new number one.
No idea why he is in a good mood, he got hosed and didn't even haggle.
No he didn't-he was lucky to get that and he knew it.
Rick wants it for himself so badly haha. No poker face at all on this one.
The whole ‘there’s no guarantee only 100 were made because the guys in the print shop probably made themselves some’ just sounds like a silly thin to even say without sounding like you’re setting up for a lowball ha.
Same Guy who brought Jimi Hendrix's Strat. He wasn't in a good mood at that time. :D
I need this !!!!!
Mr. Brown and Billy Shears got along famously.
Gandhi in the middle East..Mr. Harrison does know his Geography
LOL! Yeah, I caught that one, too..
This isn't what they intended. This was one of about 7 or 8 pictures taken for the cover. I've seen about 6 different poses.
He should have offered it to me, I would have paid his asking price of $800.
Rick: There's no guarantee that there was only 100
Me: Since you can't prove that we are going to stick with the reality that they did.
Rick will scrap together any excuse not to come anywhere near the sellers asking price... the guys in the print shop made some for themselves? What dude? As if they just printed out an extra hundred of these things to take home.... I’m surprised he didn’t use the classic “I’m gonna have to get it framed” excuse
If someone brings in a baseball bat belonging to Babe Ruth, Rick will say "It's possible the guys at the bat factory made other copies too."
funny thing is this was a tv show...everyone who came into the store was a scam.Everyone who came here to sell already had a shop or rich.
I'm taking a shot in the dark... No brainier! Classic! 😁
Shot in the dark with The Beatles memorabilia?
Two dollars call the appraiser
MR BROWN TOOK A SHOT IN THE DARK FAMOUSLY
Why would they remove Einstein?
Not sure this was actually the shot they wanted but Hitler isn't in there at this point, yet Ghandi and the other Bower Boy are still there. I have seen several different "alternate" shots from that session so they probably had a half dozen different "takes" to choose from. If this was their choice it isn't as good as the one they ultimately used. IMHO Ironically, Albert Einstein ended up standing where the originally had Adolf Hitler.
I actually prefer that cover tbh 😂
Isn't he the same guy with the Beatle's contract
Not just taking a risk, but a shot in the dark.
Abbey Road for me.
When items are made to be collectible, they're not worth a fortune. This was produced 20 years after the original. Yet all the Rick-haters predictably say he lowballed.
this guy also had a jimi hendrix strat. is he robbing high end collections?
I'd like to see one with the Hitler cut out on it
After he sold the Beatles contract for a million, why would he be in there selling an album cover for $800 dollars.
Who's the cowboy in the album cover Roy rogers?
@@skaf9587 *Tom MIx, the 'singing cowboy'.
The background music killing
This is the same guy who tried to sell them the Beatles contract for $1m.
Why would you even bother selling this!
Drug addicts need cash to feed their habits.....
He probably has a trunk full of those
Pawn Brokers are not Rock Historians.
It's listed for $3k now on GSPawn, one of their major scams.
lmao i wouldnt pay more than 250
DeViiaTe -poor
Martin Quin huh
Was that johhny Depp?
500 for a print?????
Should be more
Mr. Brown and The Beatles use to do LSD back in the day
I like how Rick here says he's a big Beatles fan but couldn't tell earlier in another snippet that a guitar supposedly belonging to one of them was right handed when it's a well known fact that it's supposed to be left handed until his expert came in. Not that I mind, I know it's all staged to begin with, it's simply amusing.
the white album is better
I just watched Sir Paul McCartney denied entry at a club party hosted by some black rapper...this is what it's come to...i guess he ain't the cat's meow anymore
He still is-it's just the bar has dropped so low in the dumbed-down era we are (still) currently living in..
Didn’t this guy bring in the contract
Beetles albums cost thousands. Like fr
Sgt Peppers lonely hearts club band.. we hope you will enjoy “the show” get it?
Seller looks like Johnny depp
He didn't negotiate at all? Could of gotten more
How is Aleister Crowley influential culturally???? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
He inspired a lot of bands.
sinsu123 He influenced the spiritual movements of the 1960s.That movement greatly influenced Steve Jobs
I'm a Mason and we do not run the music industry
sinsu123
That's none of your business.
Jimmy page bought his former home in scotland i think, jimmy also had a collection of his writings too
Um, this guy came in last time with a Beatles contract that he was selling for $1,000,000. Now he'd peddling album covers for discount prices? Wha? He's short on cash or something?
So basically they're an edgy boy band.
i'm in a good mood today in know it's only worth $200
Dude,
Most of the World [50%+] doesn't know who John, Paul, George, & Ringo; are i'm betting.
As well as, more than 50% of the Planet hasn't heard SPLHCB in it's entirety, for sure!!!
$500 USD low ball offer...
Mr brown and the beetles got along famously
"This is the holy grail of" and "Mr. Brown and I got along famously" are the official memes of Pawn Stars
TheGamecube64Guy
And if Mr. Brown walked in with the holy grail, Rick would only offer him $25 because it's to old. 😂😂😂😂
Fish evolution glad dish prayer normally advocate.
I thought the alternate had Hitler on it 🤔
That may be the worst display of grammar I’ve heard
That shits funny how when someone tell him their asking price and he's always like uhhh
The Beatles were definitely 1 of the most famous bands ever I've just never understood why
To each, their own..
massive beatles fan like all americans news guys the band members are better than the band
Mr.brown walked down abbey road with the beatles famously
Karl Marx is there Jesus Christ what the hell
I just wish more people would come out the closet and admit they are leftist liberals.
Most overrated band of all time.
Yeah....they only have like 99 great songs.
disgusting album
You're fucking kidding, right?
Mushroom man take me by the hand, he's right it sucks
You listen to country, you have no place to talk, lol
Mushroom man take me by the hand, better than that shit
So country is better than a band that changed the way music is produced, recorded, and consumed? OKOKOKOK.
World's most overrated band
Maroon 5? Agreed..
Hi first
dude,get a life
He found that at a goodwill
"I'm taking a real shot in the dark here" = NO BRAINER
professional con artist
Rick says he knows everything about The Beatles but he didn’t know that Paul was left handed in the other episode....
Hey isn’t that the guy who had the Beatles contract?
Jeremy Xu yeah
I like the "white album" best
Rubber Soul or Abbey road:)
Let It Be is my favourite, but Help! it's really good too :)
@Cheryl same dude, unpopular opinion, but it's the best
the white album is weird.. revolution 9.. seriously?
I like Revolver the best. But Sgt Pepper 🫑 is in my top 5.
I need some pot today, so I'll let it go for $500
The Beatles and Mr. Brown got along famously.
So why are they playing a Stones-ish song at the beginning? and BTW, "Alternative" is a style of music. An unused version is an "alternate."
Guy walked in like he was going to ask $50,000
So having worked in the music business for 30 years, including working with the head of marketing for EMI/Capitol extensively, I can tell you that that image belongs to EMI. They never - NEVER - make prints and sell them. Its obviously stolen by an employee, had prints made and numbered them to make it look legit. Its basically stolen. This kind of thing wasn't uncommon. The guy I worked with had taken the negatives for the original "slaughtered babies" cover.
Great info/insight! Hope PS reads what you wrote.
Ya I don’t believe you
The seller never said the prints were made for sale, but given to EMI execs as gifts, which the seller personally dealt with. Do you mean to say EMI would never get prints made for any reason ?
This Rick is more CHEAP than George Constanza!
Why was Elvis not on this album.
im not sure, but Bob dylan is there
The best I can do is $-15. I have to buy a display case and put it on the wall for a few weeks, so I'm taking all the risk. That's why you paying me $15 for me to take your item is fair.
LOL!!
This guy must have a hell of a beatles collection
