They must can singing well and more they can compose song or playing music instrument For lus value. For example American Idol competition or music competition like this in another country
Definition Idol in Korean and japan is like group or solo dancer with vocal or rapper skill
Except they can singing(just singing but not like singer with technician vocal well)and they must can dance well,but for playing music instrument, singing with technician vocal and compose song is plus value. Idol in Korean and japan they must have entertainment talent too like model, mc, acting and comedy for get profit plus. for example BTS is idol, IU is singer.
So thats why agency in korean and japan there have different idol standar for their agency profit or agency need,So dont judge kpop idol because their vocal quality is not good, because agency in there(korean,japan),have different standar and different need for their idol,if any member not good in vocal but agency still recruit them it means their good in entertainment(acting, model,popularity,mc,acting)you know😒

Why it isn't Illit?
YG knows how to put together a winning formula but they fail to keep it and that is their downfall. Just imagine if they had put as much effort into KEEPING 2NE1, BIG BANG, IKON, WINNER, BLACKPINK, in YG then TREASURE and now BABY MONSTER would be an awesome company. Music fans don't leave after the 7 year mark. They do in SK because that's all they want. Just look at western artists and whose on top. Taylor Swift has been going since 2003 yet she is still popular. Music fans go away if you treat them badly or keep churning out crap.
