I tried making a flap part with 0.8mm LB too, but then it's too stiff, not like what you have here.
I wonder what's the difference?

Check 3 things,
1. Is the leather too hard?
2. Did you bend it when attaching the reinforcement and lining?
3. You need to bond only the edges and bend them, but didn't you bond the whole thing?
And lastly, you need to stick it in a bent state, not bend it after you put it on.

here's my answer:
1. i think so.. it's embossed with Epi leather print. 1.7mm-1.8mm.
2. i haven't attached the lining, but i attached the LB to 2mm foam first. i bonded it in a bent state, using the triangle forming block. After that i bonded that to the outer leather, also in a bent state. I used the foam to achieve like a 3d padded-look around the stitching line.
3. yes, i think this is where i missed the most. I bonded the whole thing. The flap is a 1-piece back part to flap. I bonded all the way from the back part, the flap bent area, and the flap straight area. (sorry i dont know the proper terms in english).
