What fun event that's what it's about and being with people that have the same interests. My Dad had an A 400 Washington blue type color butter-colored wheels. He bought it from the original owner from Pennsylvania she was a schoolteacher and at the time he purchased it she was 90 years young. I found a compass in the passenger side door pouch ..." Hey Dad look what I found!" I was 10.... The only modification was Pennsylvania mandated vehicles have operational turn signals which were installed on the fenders.... which actually looked like it was an option. My Dad said without looking you know it is an A by its sound.... sweet memories (always a Thumps Up from this guy).
By the smiles on both of your faces throughout the video, I would say you had a great time!!!! Model A and Model T thank you for being a strong voice for the Model A family

Greetings from oakville Ontario Canada home of the ford plant opened up in 1953 and I have mentioned it before my best friend owns an original 1929 ford model A 4 door never restored been in his family since New lived everywhere in Canada of course black appreciate your videos cheers 🍻

Wow, looks like a great time. Here in CCP Michigan, we don't do fun anymore. 2 years ago we went on a fall color tour. As usual when instructions were given to stay "grouped" up so the people not familiar with the area won't get lost. It became a race. So, with the poor maps, you break out the GPS and put in the address to the next stop. Met the local Studebaker Driver's Club president, never contacted us , so much for that. We just do our own thing, go to local car events and socialize. That's all for me OM, 73 de N8IWS & N8KIG.
Wow, that sounds terrible! One would think that Michigan would have its car culture act together! I was there year before last with Derek Bieri (Vice Grip Garage) for the Woodward dream cruise and it was an great time! The Gilmore Museum (and MAFFI Model A museum) is in Michigan. Dang!
@@ModelA I was so hoping to get to the Gilmore when you were there but health wouldn't allow it then. Hoping the next time you're in Michigan, we can do a eyeball QSO. I have the Studebaker in for the Motor Muster in Greenfield Village, 3 time for her. I'm walking better but the meds just wear me out. Keep up the great content. deN8IWS

Love your videos man! I've always wanted a model A. Hopefully sometime after college I'll have enough saved up to buy one. Any advice for a younger guy looking to buy a first model A?

Thank you for the kind words! Advice? Don't do it the way I did. Get hooked up with a club FIRST. I got hosed on the first car I bought and regret it to this day. Buy the best car you can for your budget, don't skimp. Also, take a really experienced club member with you when you look for a car and listen to them. If they say pass on it, pass!! Last, don't buy a car that isn't drivable right away. Even if you have to save up more, make your first car something you can drive right now, not a project car. Something you can fix up as you drive it. Not something that is going to be down for months.
@@ModelA Yeah I'm definitely not looking for a project car, but something I can drive away with. Once I'm settled into college and saved up more I'll start looking into clubs and all that. Thanks for the advice!
Glad to help, my brother! Best bet- Get hooked up with a club now. You may not even be require to join, just find out where and when they meet for lunch or breakfast somewhere and show up and introduce yourself. Ask when the next tour is and if anyone has an open seat for you. I bet you a timing wrench you find yourself in a Model A within minutes.
