It's been a while since I've been in a Supra SE, but the performance factors are similar to the SA & SL. I was in the Malibu 25 LSV this past summer when the Just Ride Tour came to Southern Utah in June. Here's my thoughts.
    Fit & Finish:
Both are top quality! However, I heard Malibu owners noticed a decline in overall quality, especially in the smaller things, when demand was too high for the amount of workers they had on the production line. With that said, I would still say that BOTH are very nice on their interiors.
Wakeboard/Surf Performance: I wakeboard 99.9% of the time and both produce a very high quality wakeboard wake. But I would give it to Supra for a wakeboard wake because it has a smoother transition and to me is more user-friendly, even when it's fully loaded. On Malibu/Axis, the new (since 2021) Power Wedge has NOT been consistent. I've been on my friends 2021 24 MXZ, 2021 Axis T22 & Axis A22, all 3 had very inconsistent performances with the Wedge. One pass would be great, and then after making the turnaround, the wake was completely different. All 3 owners said the way the new Wedge settings read compared to their previous Malibu/Axis' was frustrating. It was so hard for them to keep the wakeboard wake consistent. My friend who's owned a 2003 VLX, 2013 A22 & now a 2022 A22 said that my wakeboard wake is the best he's ridden, and he's ridden all the flagship wakeboard boat brands. And my friends that owned a 2021 Axis T22, and another who owned a 2020 Centurion F235 sold theirs after riding my SA550. One of them bought a 2022 SA550, the other is mooching rides off of both of us, LOL!
As far as a Surf wake, I'd give it to the 25 LSV. It was very clean & had lots of push. Made it very easy to surf on. The SE is also a very good surf wake, but I honestly can say that the LSV/MXZ was better.
    Motor Noise:
One of the con's with Malibu, IMO, was how loud the engines were. When behind the boat, all I could hear was the motor. They have gotten more quiet since they started building it in-house, but even with a super-charged Raptor 575 in the Supra's I can say those are quieter.
    Hull Shape:
Only difference I'd say is that the Supra hulls (all of them since 2016) are designed to push water away when hitting rollers, etc. It's nearly impossible to take water over the bow. But the MXZ was very easy to take water over the bow every time we came off plane. So much so that it probably took an extra 20-30 yards to come off plane & not swamp the bow. The 25 LSV didn't seem to have the same issue, but I did have to give it a little more throttle love coming off plane than the SE.
Those are just some of my thoughts.

You gotta get behind an m242, the wave is absolutely unreal. Even in pictures it looks absolutely insane, and we all know pictures never do justice.

Malibu has dropped in quality - Supra keeps moving up…. Not to mention the stale Malibu surfgate/power wedge system. Bye bye Malibu - Hello Supra!
No chance I’m buying a new Malibu!

Its been quite the opposite for me. As far as wave it really all comes down to if the owner knows what they’re doing/ know how the get the most out of the boat.
For quality it just depends if the boat was built on a Friday or not lol, both of these go with any boat
