    Regarding to immobilizer, there is a cheap tool called Autel Maxi AP200 which cost about 50-60USD. It can do anything that the stock HDS, and you can run an "ECM/PCM Replacement" to teach the ECM and Immo together.

      Has it been tested on Element, CRV, Civic, RSX style immobi of that generation? I have several tools (not Autel ) that can’t do anything with these older style immobi but works just fine with any other Honda 05+ and Accord 03+ immobi.

    I'd like to figure out how to mount a j35 in my 8th gen ex sedan.
    It's got the automatic and has a shift flare when it's cold, Plus it's leaking, coolant and oil out of the GUTLESS R18 engine.
    I would love to get a reliable 280 ,300 wheel horsepower without boost. J sounds like th answer, but manual trans might be an issue. They are basically non-existent in my area

    Well, I've been asking about the k20c1/4 mounts for the NSX for a while , and yet there has been an update to when these mounts were soon to be available to the public. It seems there is a little bit of gate keeping for the average Joe to get the swap done so they can enjoy their own diy projects. Let me not give credit to you guys for the work you've done for all kinds of builds but there truly is a road block for this swap not everyone is a purists or a race team but we would sure like a solution from you guys that we've been supporting for years to have an option for all. You guys have a ton of knowledge on this swap being that you've given us videos proven on the subject at hand, but whenever it comes to the community we are left in the dark and possibly sitting on builds that we think your going to have an answer for us as well. I've been buying your kits for years, but whenever it comes to NSX, it seems we're not included. Please let us know if we're on our own or just a miss in communication. The new platform has been around a while now, and we need other options. This was the whole point of this company it would seem to keep our old vehicles on the road with newer technology. It's only fair that we get a chance to innovate and grow with you guys. Hope this gets to you and your team. I know it's a small market, but as prices go up, we need more choices, and that's why we supported companies like you. If it's not going to be a thing, let us know so we can look in other directions to find another solution.

      Gatekeeping? The final production parts aren’t finalized. Feel free to email orders@hasport.com to find out about the mount kit.

      The road block is a lack of space. I hope to fix that with the new shop for VTEC Academy. The projects we do for the channel are clogging up the lift usually used for prototyping new kits.

      They really dropped the ball on the 9th gen. I was working at Honda when that car came out. If only they used a TSX-S engine rather than an accord it would have been way more successful.

    informative, thank you for sharing. relatively new to the channel but the only question I have is, with any of these swaps into a hybrid chassis, is any of the hybrid functionality able to be retained?

    • @VTECAcademy

      @@VTECAcademy Thanks for responding. I will of course continue to follow and watch in hope that when this technology becomes available, my 2010 Honda Insight might have some hope. Of course, if I no longer care about fuel consumption nor emissions by that time, then it may not matter, lol.

    I’m doing this swap with a 2003, I was planning on getting an ep3 dash is this worth doing? And do I need the rsx subframe. Also will the esk4 mounts work (element block with tsx MT)

    • @VTECAcademy
      @VTECAcademy  4 місяці тому +1

      A manual 2003 dash will work fine. The K24A4 block is about the same. The ESK4 mounts will work with that combo. The Element block has the correct block bracket. It’s like the CRV block bracket.

    What's best to swap with the civic wagon 4wd? I think hood clearance is the biggest problem.

    • @bassblaster505
      @bassblaster505 2 місяці тому

      4th gen? if so hood clearance is mostly an issue with intakes on F and H series.

    • @Lost10mm.
      @Lost10mm. 2 місяці тому

      @bassblaster505 not sure exactly it's got the d16a6 I think 88-91. I was definitely torn between building the motor or swapping with a f22/h22 because I have a spare block.

    • @bassblaster505
      @bassblaster505 2 місяці тому +1

      @@Lost10mm. 88-91 is 4th gen, most refer to it as the EF but if you wanna be anal EF is the JDM VIN and in the states its an ED. But anyway i have 91 with an F23A1 on an H2B kit. H series intake with the IAB's are gonna smash into the hood. My F intake doesnt have IAB's and clear with some cheap hood spacers. H22 would be the "best" for NA power but FRM liners are becoming more worn with age. F22 will still have more HP and torque then a stock B series but have steel liners like D B J K series. Consider an H2B kit as B series trans have much shorter ratios then H series trans and especially F series.

    • @Lost10mm.
      @Lost10mm. 2 місяці тому

      @bassblaster505 that's really awesome thanks, I actually have a extra intake from my first cb7 lx which doesn't have the IAB's. That's crazy one will clear but not the other won't they look so close to the same size. The wago is a rt4wd and I just found another one for cheap 😁 definitely wondering what that transmission will hook up to or if I need to upgrade anything. Both have the SL gear also. Really appreciate your feedback on it excited to get one of them back on the road again.

      @@Lost10mm. Being an RT4WD you may be able to go F/H engine with an H2B AWD kit and a CRV AWD trans. an AWD H2B wagovan would be badass i think. not sure if youll be able to keep the stock D series unit. about 15 years ago they made a B2D kit to mount B series engines to a D series trans. That MAY be an option if you can even find one
