I've got the Pro I would not want the knife to be locked - Keep in mind - Your are making very light duty cuts. A lock this application makes deploying and closing a 2 handed process PITA Picture your holding something you are cutting that you can't immediately put down after the cut is made. Since both hands are not available to fold the blade home - you will likely set down the carabiner with the blade OUT - That makes it a dangerous situation if you after a while grab the caribiner (forgetting the knife is out) in any way that you may get cut & that scalpel is fn sharp. I've been poked (not cut) once when I set the U4 down with out closing the blade. & you don't need it to lock - it is a light duty tool doing light duty worklll
@@garyp.7501🤡 I've have similar style keychain on a belt look for "at least" 15 years. No incidences. Perhaps they should include a detailed instruction manuals a/w diagrams and arrows and colours to show and warn the less talented folk what kind of evil forces they are dealing with🤡
I just bought the U4 Pro, not the Pro +, it was a few $$ cheaper. My take is that it's terrible. The blade is too small, it's heavy compared to the Nite Ize G4, which is about the same size but without the extras. The screwdriver is too large for my glasses, and they only have one other bit and it's tiny torix. The measuring marks are too short to be of much use to me. The blade is difficult to change without cutting yourself. Don't waste your money. Get a Nite Ize G4, and a small blade locking knife like "Bandit Ti" From Quiet Carry. I kept mine too long so I can't send it back, but I don't carry it.
Lock button on the knife side makes it illegal to carry in the UK
Great point!

Illegal ? Never stopped me before.
Interesting how more surgical blades are coming to the market. Nice for fine work.
I'm sold. Ordering one from Amazon.
Save the receipt and box, I hate mine.
@@garyp.7501 Thanks for the heads up.

Some folks have reported that it opened in their pocket. Hence the need for a lock
They should inform said individuals that the carabiner part is meant to be carabeened onto ur belt loop!!!
@@TerryManitobaI read a number of complaints where people tore their belt loop and lost their keychain and EDC tools. So buyer beware.

But keys on the belt loop are so cool looking! lol

That is the weakest safety feature yet, almost like you needed something to say about this item and made it up.
Ridiculous.
