The temperature here near the equator is pretty hot, and it is quite humid too. Cotton clothes are nice option. Yes, do wear relatively thin cloth, as you will sweat a lot, and thin cloth are easier to dry. But not too thin because Malaysia is relatively conservative. On the same basis, cloth that shows a lot of skin are not that usual here, unless you are in the big cities. You might think "aww, that sucks, since it is hot wasn't it better to wear clothes that doesn't cover up as much?" well, not really. The sun is quite intense here near the equator, and the best sunscreen is physical (cloth) sunscreen. So yeah, do bring hats, or even umbrella in a sunny day for shades (bonus cause sometimes it rains suddenly). So yeah, you'll find cloth that are thin, breathable, and loose (not tight fitted) to be the most comfortable type of clothing here.
Great video guys! Umbrella is on point. Bring something for indigestion, plenty of aspirin and buy coffee. The adapter part very helpful. I actually bought one of those box adapters. Ended up not using it but helpful to have.
The reason you find most electrical socket points are placed 5 feet above the floor, is because that was a child safety feature governed by regulations imposed by building ordinances long ago. Nowadays in apartment and condo buildings as well as public buildings, you find that, this is no longer the case, with better modern safety features included.
The most important thing to bring to Malaysia is your appetite! There's just so many different types of food from different cultures that you may not even have enough time to try them out.
Happy to see how great you guys are doing now guys, I remember that video a few months back where you said you were feeling a bit wiped out from all the work that goes into vlogging. Its paying off for sure now! I dont follow anyone else putting out as much content as you guys at the moment.

We live in the SE USA. We have our possible retirement countries list: Thailand, Malasia, Vietnam, Philippines, Ecuador, and Colombia. We’d like to slow travel through all of them for a couple years before deciding wear to stay for good. We just need advice on where to go first...do we go to SE Asia first and if so, where do we start ? How would you structure this two year slow travel ? Thank you so much !
We have not been to Hong Kong and we have been all over South East Asia. Indonesia, Thailand, Lao, Vietnam, Philippines none of them use the same style plu was all we were saying!
no... i got my wording wrong, i guess its just because i used to use hkg as my base when going to southeast asia. ASEAN have signed a free trade agreement with hong kong though...
great travel tips guys.. not sure if many people know what eno is in the states.. i think its the best.. we were also thinking of bringing Dramamine or motion sickness patches esp for the Philippines.. are these things easy to come by, or is it better to buy it here?
Its better to buy that in the states. You can get it in big cities but when you get to the islands its all named different and it will be hard for you to find... I am guessing because of it being called something else
