    Hello, sir. I have been watching your videos the past days and it has been a great help to me ever since. I have just noticed one minor error from your vid around 33:39 where you omitted the variable 'x' after simplifying -4x[y^2/2]. You wrote -2y^2 instead of -2xy^2. I think Q(y)=R(x)=0 is the case here since x^2y^3-2xy^2 are on both sides of the equation and thus, x^2y^3-2xy^2=c.

    Hello, may i ask. How to determine if the given equation is variable separable, homogenous or exact. ?

      My method during my college days is: Test first if its variable separable, if not then check if its homo, then test for its exactness etc. It takes familiarization and practice to be able to know what method suits to solve the DE. Hope this helps

    Can you solve this DE?
    ( 2x-y^2sinx-x^2sinx)dx + 2y dy = 0 ; I arrived at : integral of 2xe^cosx after getting the integrating factor. I think e^cosx cant be intègrated if I use IBP! Any technique? Tnx

    may I ask , why the integrating factor for the formula of the funtion f(y) has a negative sign?
    my teacher gave likewise to your given formula but it has no negative sign

      Its the same. Given that you will also have to get the difference of partial of (Nx - My)/M.

      f(y) = (1/M)(dN/dx - dM/dy) kasi siguro dun. kung i negative mo same lang pero magiging f(y)= -(1/M)(dM/y-dN/dx), yung form na ginamit ni sir Yu Jei Abat. Late pero baka makatulong sa iba
