She looks so happy here, cheering her guitarist on, you can see her mouth "YES!"...This is the EA that I ran to in times of need, I hope we get to see her again.
you can so tell she's having so much fun up there! I hope to whoever is up there that her gigs can return to something like this, not that i dont love her stage show now, but having what she has now mixed with something like this would be so utterly amazing. i would kill to have seen her play like this! ROCK ON EM!
Mostly the music comes first for song writers. I like how you said (words) after lyrics tho. Thanks for clearly that up.... you made me laugh ( smile and make noise with my mouth ) and it made my day
I bet 100% of male and 75% female of that event's spectators simply fell in love with that young, happy, innocent and pretty foxy girl :-) And hell, she can play! Or at least she could back then in 2001..
@TheBlondeJesus She played an instrumental Rose Red live a couple times, but I don't think this is the special post-9/11 show (though it's from the same time period). You can see a clip of Rose Red from that night in my other video, and if you search UA-cam enough you'll probably find a clip of her playing Star Spangled Banner live on her violin as well. :)
Her mic broke, yes, but she makes that violin sing. I can hear the lyrics in it, although that's possibly due to the fact that I listen to Rose Red an obscene number of times daily.
Her fans criticize her a lot and everything she does. It seems that they are never satisfied. They want her to return to her origins of the Enchant era. If I had to choose, I would stay with her Opheliac era. It's her most "evolved" version. And it's true that she has been stuck in the Asylum. But it's her decision. She has a lot of potential to explore, but it seems she has got there.
Rose Red DID have lyrics when she performed this (in fact, it's based on a traditional folk song called Rose Red, which has the same tune and similar lyrics). According to fLee, EA's mic broke at a performance so she used her violin in place of her voice.
@arottentomato Is this when she played after 9/11 because I heard that she performed with that big group of bands that all played and according to the interwebs she played an instrumental version of star spangled banner and rose red at the concert.
@siropheliac Yes it is indeed! I really enjoyed this video, but also got a little sad of it.. Knowing it won't be like this ever again... I've really missed something in my earlier years ^^
Amazing. Didn't know she'd done this, and I almost like it better than her singing. People should use violins and cellos and violas more often for this type of stuff...
It's really weird to see 'normal people' as her audience... go to a concert now and it seems you've entered to a weird medieval/victorian/elizabethan parallel universe It's awesome!!!!
I'm sorry but I don't like the person Emilie is becoming. And I've only been a fan for 1 1/2 years. I wish she was still the person here and in the early Opheliac era.
She looks so happy here, cheering her guitarist on, you can see her mouth "YES!"...This is the EA that I ran to in times of need, I hope we get to see her again.
She's so magnificant. Beautiful, Talented Singer and Violinist. She's just an original and remarkable artist.
amazing! omg! just sooooooooooooooo beautiful! makes me wanna cry! not... makes me wanna dance!! *-*
Wish she would go back to making more "Enchant Era" type music. It's such a positive outcome to an abusive past - Escaping into Faerie tales.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels that way!
i love that i get to have a favorite musician whom i can describe as psychotic harpsichord player, a glittery inmate, and a faerie punk rocker.
This version absolutely changed my life....
omg! this sounds wayyyyy different from the album! i love it!!!!!!
she enjoys the violin so much, wonderful...
GOD I love her!!! I wish I could see her perform like this once more. I mean, I love the advent of the Asylum, but this is just... WOW!

ROCK ON EM!
freggin' awesome!!! oh man, i wish i lived in chicago at the time! emilie rocks! she's so talented and beautiful!
Mostly the music comes first for song writers. I like how you said (words) after lyrics tho. Thanks for clearly that up.... you made me laugh ( smile and make noise with my mouth ) and it made my day
@BattleCry105 She was about 24 in 2001 (depending on which birth year you go by), so not a teenager.
Love this! My favorite part is at about 4:10, when she has a shred-off with the guitarist XD
I've been looking EVERYWHERE for an Enchant era live video! Thanks!! This is awesome! =]
I bet 100% of male and 75% female of that event's spectators simply fell in love with that young, happy, innocent and pretty foxy girl :-) And hell, she can play!

I want this EA again. She looks so fucking happy!!
if I could time travel, I would go back and see this :D

I' pay dearlt for a studio version of this exact composition of the tow of them playing! What a great performance!

What a happy faerie!

WTF THAT WAS AMAZING
SI SI OJALA ALGÚN DÍA EMILIE... GRABE UN UNPLUGGED.....SERIA GENIAL =)
And the folk song was based on the alternate story of snow white and rose red.
Yes there are lyrics it's one of my favorite songs
Oh god, I do miss the faerie
@arottentomato Is this when she played after 9/11 because I heard that she performed with that big group of bands that all played and according to the interwebs she played an instrumental version of star spangled banner and rose red at the concert.
@arottentomato how is that possible when she really performed Rose Red on violin few times? you may found some here ,osted on youtube.
I miss the faerie.
@siropheliac Yes it is indeed! I really enjoyed this video, but also got a little sad of it.. Knowing it won't be like this ever again... I've really missed something in my earlier years ^^
Her neck is so beautiful!!!!!!!!!
This sort of thing makes me wish I knew her in this era
She really is like a faerie
@zanewoody At times it's fun just to play a instrumental version of a song. It shows that you can, if I can say, adapt as a musician.
This is sooo fuckin awesome!!! xDD
She used to, at least =(
Amazing. Didn't know she'd done this, and I almost like it better than her singing. People should use violins and cellos and violas more often for this type of stuff...

Emilie Autumn and Charlie Daniels should have a violen duel...of course she'd win.
Shreddolin!
I would also like to add that shes playing the vocal line there.... so idk why you assume their are no lyrics. just sayin..
@ellodahhhling Punk?:L
This was before she was in the asylum, pretty sure she's still a teenager here, the gothic/victorian stuff didn't start until she came out
