Tbh it doesn’t matter when you use mouthwash because a lot of mouthwash’ have fluoride in them anyway BUT the best way is to actually wait 30mins after brushing to use mouthwash that way you’re not brushing away the mouthwash nor are you washing away the toothpaste

Sorry but shylily is wrong af here. She says don't use water, but water is literally the most important part of dental hygiene. It's more important than even toothpaste and mouthwash. Drinking water and rinsing your mouth with water is great for your teeth. Toothpaste and mouthwash are for people who don't actually keep their teeth clean on a consistent basis. It's the difference between rinsing your car every day to keep it clean, or letting your car get dirty for a week and then using soap on it instead. Also, toothpaste and fluoride are not designed to sit in your mouth long term. She is totally wrong on that. You're only supposed to brush your teeth with it for 30 seconds then rinse it out. Letting chemicals sit on your teeth will literally wear away at your enamel. This happened to my mother and she ended up getting like 30 cavities. Meanwhile I just rinse with water every day and my teeth are perfect, no cavities. And yes of course I brush too but never take it to the extreme like shylily is saying. Following her advice will literally ruin your teeth.

Bro, you are wrong. You can google it, rinsing off the toothpaste is less effective

This probably depends on the kind of toothpaste and/or how hard you brush. (don't scrub btw. they call it tooth *brushing* for a reason)
If it's like a whitening toothpaste that's supposed to burn off yellowing then I can see how leaving that in might be bad, but I have a special prescription high fluoride paste that specifically says to spit, but not rinse.
