Wow. Really great advice! thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Using a dehumidifier one or more will work great. It really depends on inside and the ambient temp outside plus what you might do inside such as cooking and showers. It is a small space and it adds up quick. Thanks for a great video!! Dave with Someday is ....Today!
Great tips. We have a 39' pusher in NW Florida covered/ powered storage while we are on the road a month at a time. 100% humidity from mid-April to mid-September. Hanging packets work great and fragrant to boot.
Oh boy... now I have to head to Amazon to get a good dehumidifier .Thanks for making me spend money.
@Wayne B which one do you have? I am sure I don't need a 1500 sqf dehumidifier.
I would add that using a digital thermometer/humidistat helps also. At least then you can accurately see if humidity is too high.
We have a small dehumidifier. I agree. The AC out preforms it. But we are not in the South East either. If we were in Mississippi, which is where we are from, I don't know if it would work as well.
Don't forget that burning propane produces moisture as well.
Side eye is back. Yes!!!
Great tip, thanks
Question: What is the optimal humidity level range?
Other tip, hang towels or wet clothes outside to dry.
Good idea!!
Yep it DOES help and even though I have 2 dehumidifiers that are rated at up to 575 square feet it (to me)still feels humid inside. Considering buying a larger capacity machine.
so if you leave your toilet lid open {or not} will the dehumidifier remove the water from the bowl? and what about sink traps?
What is considered a small dehumidifier?
Our humidity is Low in Summer, High in Fall & Winter > Tips for This time of year, please?
Not humidity, but moisture related question:
The factory paint on RV frames seems poorly primed and very thin! What are some good ways to prevent rust, or to remediate light rust on a TT or 5W frame? Oil undercoat? Lanolin or wax spray? Rust converter? Sand and repaint?
Great question, would like to know the best method for this. I sprayed on some rust inhibitor in different critical areas but it seems too thin to last any significant amount of time
What to do when storing our RV in Florida, very concerned about humidity. Run air all summer?
Yes! So much "info" out there, I need to know the truth!
Good luck, seams like nobody tells the truth anymore
I’m in west Texas and have a 42 ft 5th wheel. The wetness on the windows and even in some of my cabinets is really bad. I have a 2021 forest sabar. I just ordered a 50 dehumidifier. Hopefully this helps? The small one o have does absolutely nothing
Winter in Florida. High humidity. Im getting humidity in the over cab? Condensation. Is that normal
Great videos keep up the great work thanks.
What do you recommend for storing my rv for winter in the driveway with shore power? I live in Seattle where we get rain
I have a question about whether to keep a vent (ceiling and/or window) opened a little bit when it is very humid outside. The other day it was about 60 degrees and raining with humidity about 90%. I keep my nucamp T@B 320 stored in a carport at my house with the roof vent opened about an inch and one of the windows slightly opened. I went out to check on something and the ceiling and some of the walls were covered in a light layer of condensation. I'm wondering if just before the weather/humidity gets to this point I should close the vents and windows and then re-open them after the humidity outside has dropped? Any advice on this would be helpful.
So you are saying when the RV is sitting in storage close the bathroom vent during the summer?
Good Morning. Thank you, But if it is in storage with no AC is there any other way .Like a 12v Dehumidifier that uses low power. Jack
Thanks for the information. We are thinking about keeping our RV down in Florida over the summer as we are snowbirds down there during the winter season. Keeping the air conditioner on we've heard of but what is the best temperature to keep the RV at? We've heard around 83°. Also any recommendations about how to keep mold down in an rv? Thanks for any information you can provide.
83-87 is probably fine. controlling the humidity is critical.
how about the air which human exhale which has a lot of moisture in it.
👍
How small is small?
@Wayne B thank you for the response. Someday I’ll get to start traveling around our beautiful country and this will be very helpful. Living in San Diego, there just isn’t a humidity issue, even when it is in storage where there is no electrical power.
