Great video. I swear by the green tea & licorice extract! I've been using them in my DIY moisturizer and my skin has never looked better.
I made this and it actually works!! I had to substitute the aloe vera gel for coconut oil because the one I bought from whole foods was in liquid form. So I followed the steps in her AM/PM eye cream on how to combine the coconut oil with the vit e cream (she uses shea butter in that video but she said you can also use coconut oil). Anyways, I use to wear concealer every day to cover up my dark circles but for the past 4 days I don't even need the concealer after I use this! THANKS LISA for this awesome DIY!!! More skin care DIY or routine/advice please!

So many people are lost on finding ingredients... I found them quickly. If your have a SPROUTS store go there. I was also thinking it MIGHT be at Trader Joe's but I haven't actually looked myself. I found ALL INGREDIENTS at my local Sprout's Store. As far as Aloe Vera Gel- This product is available everywhere! Check any local drug stores in the section with lotion/sunblock or I got a small size at Target in the Travel Size section. It was $1.00 and I bought the one with no dyes or extra things added. Good Luck! I will be making mine today! =)
Jennifer Hansen Second Note: "Drops" Isn't a measurement so if you buy a different bottle your 10 drops could be a totally different amount which might be why some people's aren't as creamy.

How about diy anti wrinkle/renewing face/eye creams for ppl with oily skin?? I see anytime you say something is for wrinkles it's also for dry skin. I've been looking for anti aging creams to help my rlly oily skin/dark circles & prevent or reverse any damage, but all I've found that I feel works are things with retinol which has mixed reviews from ppl & are VERY expensive. Also, I know, vitamin C, E & (I think) A are good for the skin, but anything super hydrating like that just makes me break out. Can you do a diy video for that? It would be so awesome for us non-dry skin folk. Lol. I LOVE your DIYs & closet videos btw! 👍👌🙌

Aloe mix with vitamin e cream soaks the water from aloe and stays moisturize from the cream. Your skin will feel refresh and soft. It will not feel tight and dry.

I bought Aloe Vera Gel Juice instead of the gel.. I tried the recipe with this but it comes out very runny. Is there a way to still use the juice but still get the cream consistency?
I tried it and the vitamin e cream dose not mix well at all. I just ended up with a chuncky mix.

Yay, have been waiting for this! Do you think you can use it on your face, because I have a lot of acne marks and if it helps with dark circles, wouldn't it help with that?
Dark circles are not the same as acne scars/marks, you could use it on the face but it won't do much for scars. Also make sure you test patch first to make sure you don't break out from it.
Lol, acne scars and marks are not the same. I have acne marks and discoloration. I was just asking, because I know liquorice extract is great for that. Plus, a remedy I know, works both for dark circles and acne marks.
Sorry, where I am we call scars marks, and anything left from acne is usually a scar, even if it's little. I answered the best of my ability, sorry if I offended you. knowing dark circles are not the same thing as anything on the surface of the skin, most things don't help them much since it's 98% genetics but have to be extremely potent and able to penetrate deep. Most things that help dark circles won't help discoloration or scars. I personally wouldn't use it on the face, since it'd break me out but if you want to, go for it.
Well, my skin doesn't break put from ingredients like this. But I just know that ingredients such as aloe vera, liqorice and green tea extract is great for discoloration and such. Considering that, it's basically just a base cream with added skincare ingredients. I know acne marks and dark circles aren't the same, but these ingredients basically just help brightning up the dark area and constrict the blood vessels. Nothing dangerous there, the ingredients are very mild. And don't worry, you did not offend me, I know you're just trying to help. But hey! That's the beauty of life, you learn so much just by conversating with others.

I don't believe it'll do you any harm, since it's for the under eye area which is very delicate and sensitive.

This one is for eye gel. The one she linked is a separate recipe, for a heavier eye cream.

Will this work the same as the day cream? Or do you use the gel first for the puffiness and then the eye cream after?
I did this gel few days ago and here what I can say for now: firstly, I didn`t put the licorice extract bec I just couldn`t find it like ANYWHERE, only like an additional ingredient in children cough-syrups or dry one. So I just missed that part. The second problem was in aloe vera gel which I also couldn`t find. In drugstores they sell either an aloe juice or as a part of washing gels etc. So I took my aloe flowerpot, cut 2 leaves, squeezed `em and used this liquid. Instead of rich moisturizing vitamin E cream I used pure vit E in oil and that`s it. I got an oily SOMETHING in the end, of course, so I decided to put a little bit of mango butter to make it... you know... thicker like. After cooling I mixed everything (it wasn`t that easy, to tell the truth, since my mango butter instantly became apart of te gel-part), but eventually I achieved that damn gel consistency lol. SO, I have dark bags under my eyes and I tried lots of creams that should deal with them and it never worked. This gel is a true puffy-lastic! It isnt greasy, quickly soaks into skin but leaves that moisturised feeling. But my under eye area is still dark. So next time I`ll do it with the licorice extract (if I find it). Lisa, thank you very much for this recipe and please, keep `em coming!

This is amazing. Thank u. I need my products to be gluten free althou there are a few good lines that are gluten free its out of my budget. If imma spend 46$ on .05oz of eye cream. I can buy this make this stuff and make it last and know exactly whats in it from these products. Thank u for this brilliant beauty recipe that I will be sharing to my gluten free peoples I know.
