Kapan (Armenian: Կապան earlier Armenian: Ղափան) is a town in southeast Armenia, serving as the administrative center of the urban community of Kapan as well as the provincial capital of Syunik Province. It is located in the valley of the Voghji River and is on the northern slopes of Mount Khustup. The current population of the town is around 34,600 as per the 2016 official estimate. Kapan is the most populous town in the Syunik Province as well as the entire region of southern Armenia.
I'm driving and recording video on the road to Kapan and the center of this city on the morning of May 15, 2021.
