I loved your poem. It was so touching and tender. I know why my bones creak and pop because I have taken this class many times and always enjoy it. Thanks so much for offering free yoga. Some of us can not travel nor do we have the financial resources to do this healing practice in a public space. Soi my gratitude is overflowing. Namaste'
I always learn so much from your classes. They are as educational as they are restorative - a mind and body experience! I’m like a bowl of Rice Krispies - the snap, crackle and pop are very real - Thank you, Melissa! 💕 Now I know why my bones and joints crack and pop.
Thank you for the lovely practice and for sharing your poem. It was so nice to listen to and really capture the meaning. We don’t normally get the chance to think about the meaning of words but you gave us that opportunity. Thank you with all my heart. XO
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on why your bones and joints crack and pop! My bones and joints were cracking and popping at a Qigong class yesterday. I really enjoyed your beautiful poem. I needed a full body release since I have been working hard in my vegetable gardens. Linda
This flow was a pleasure. Your instructions about finding the 'edge' is so helpful. While in the poses for awhile, I can feel the loosening and the space. I still use sat nam and put my tongue to the roof of my mouth and focus my eyes on my third eye to meditate. The yin practice has brought so much calm and security into my body and mind which feeds my spirit with great affirmations. My body doesn't ache in my shoulders and hips, but as the day progresses, and depending on what I am doing, I will practice one of your yin flows that focus on the area that is tensing in me. I have found great comfort from practicing with you. Namaste
Now I know why my bones and joints crack and pop! Thank you so much Melissa - I haven't done any yin yoga in a while and I could really tell, and I very much needed it. The Bananasana and supine twists were especially blissful. Namaste.
First video after two weeks of mostly sedentary work travel! Thanks for you this relaxing and stretching video. Helped me take atleast some time off from the hustle and bustle going on in my head with things to do after coming home!
Now I know why my bones and joints crack and pop. Loved your poem! Just as you mentioned birdsong, an oriole was just outside my window singing it’s sweet tune!
Loved this. You really did do a full body sequence---the shoulders, neck, and especially the feet are often neglected in most yoga classes. And your poem touched me and really resonated with me, as it did with my husband. Wasn't sure it would---quite often I just don't get into poems people have written----but I listened to this with a beginner's mind and found it to be the cherry on top of an already-delicious (yoga) sundae! I would say now I know why my bones and joints crack and pop because I did listen to this all the way through, but I personally don't experience cracks and pops (and may be the only person on the planet who has never cracked their knuckles---don't know if I am missing out since you said it can feel good, like to release the gas).
what a lovely and thoughtful comment to leave Ellen, thank you :) so pleased you both liked the poem...lovely metaphor of the cherry on top :) I've never cracked my knuckles either and neither has Tim but our daughter does it to freak us all out :) namaste
Now i know why my joints crack and pop. I never thought about the gas part. Thanks Melissa, Have a wonderful day. I am not sure when you celebrate Mother's Day in Canada, in my county Nicaragua is May 30th, here in US was last Sunday. Have a wonderful Day and a Wonderful Mother's day!!. Arianne
Now I know why my bones and joints pop. Thank you Melissa for a beautiful class. I will do it again. (One suggestion: if possible it would be easier to see your positioning and alignment if you could use a mat that’s a different color than your clothes)
This was the perfect practice I NEEDED at the end of this weekend. Celebrating my husbands birthday and Mother's Day, eating too much and consuming more sugary foods then this body needed. Ugh. Great way to end the night. Here's to a healthier Monday...I just hope there isn't any rainbow cake leftovers !! Lol. I hope you had an amazing mothers day Melissa. Namaste 🙏🏼
now i know why my joints pop and crack! Would love a class or some pose suggestions for SI joints! My right SI joint feels stuck, even in revolved supine twist and other than a chiropractic adjustment, I can't seem to unstick it!
Now I know why my bones and joints crack and pop! - My left foot and right hip do this a lot and I'm sure it's due to physical trauma, but these sessions always help a lot, thanks Melissa namaste!
And me too! Now i know why my joints crack and pop! The irony of “time and gravity” working for the positive on my connective tissues but not so much on the skin that houses them wasn’t lost on me. 😜🙏👯
Now I know why! I had to work up the courage to do a yin yoga class, because to be completely honest it looked a bit boring, sorry! But it’s not. I must absolutely try the class on hips and shoulders, that will do me good.
Wonderful class! Felt really good. My favourite yin pose is happy baby so I did full happy baby instead of lizard. Now I know why my joints crack and pop. Yup broken telephone. Lol 😝
Now I know why my bones crack and pop. This class is sooooo beautiful especially your mermaids in the forest poem. I have a painting that to me is the epitome image of your poem so if it's ok with you, may I print your poem and put it next to my painting? Namaste xo
Now I know why my bones pop and crack! When I do revolved twist on the floor, my hips on both sides pull as if tight? Is that a sign of fusion? I turned 80 in March, I feel I get more out of yin yoga than the yang type.
Thanks. Yin Yoga seems best for me, especially since I am 77 and have only been practicing yoga for two years. It has changed my life for the better.
Wonderful! Lovely to hear Barry :)
