When I watch Japan team playing there highly technical well-set game, I just adore it and it fulfils me with motivation to work on myself. But when I face those 2 point something meter Brazilian “rocks” I kinda lose hope in me and everything. Though I know that it’s not right way of thinking and everyone can become a strong player due to hard work, but I can’t do anything with it. Me with my skinny 175sm body will simply parish in frost of those giants…. Help :c
First of all you will never play alone. It is a team effort and even if you are not as tall or as strong (you can always make a project to get more muscles tho), you can contribute with other skills. And your team mates will tank the net so you can be a good defender or a setter. Japan's players has been always shorter than the average but they are flying this year and they have recently beated Brazil, both teams remain pretty much the same. When I was a kid I was very good at soccer but I always thought it was too hard for someone like me to become a professional player. So I gave up in order to study. However, now that I am 40, I realise that I was an outstanding athlete, and the only thing I needed was to keep being regular and steady. Ignore parties, girls, alcohol, etc. Maybe I wouldn't win a World Cup, but I am absolutely sure I would fall fighting and respected. Hard work can overcome natural talent, it has been proven time and again.
