I'm legit shocked this wasn't the boss theme for a Palace with a literal desert. The song fits quite well with the undertones of the lyrics too, considering the owner of said Palace.
if i had heard the song before playing the game i would've thought it would've played in futaba's palace given the whole egyptian theme.
Its because Futaba's was about fighting the past and breaking from lies, meanwhile, Shido's palace was about the fool going full circle he started with Shido and was close to ending it with Shido fitting way to end the fool's journey to achieve The World.
This ain't a boss theme, this is the protag's theme XD

I played persona five three times and on my fourth run through and this makes me extremely happy and your vocals are just YES! I love this so much!
dude how tho and why? i feel like i would be maxed out after 2. do you skip the dialogue? lol my first play-through was like 80-100 hrs (fell asleep with game on at least once lol)
Trey Nelson I like trying to get the other endings and my first run I maxed out with no one xD so my other 3 I spent maxing with other people and such and I skipped unnecessary dialogue but watched all the Awakenings I'm at the end of my 4th run so...YAY

Better than the original in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the original is alright, but the woman who sings it... Unless you have the lyrics in front of you and are reading along you can't understand what half the lines are.
Honestly, your voice fits perfectly with this music! I'm such a die-hard fan for the original soundtrack and there are very few covers I like or even tolerate for Persona 5, but you have an amazing voice and this is just so freaking good! Thank you for sharing!

This is one of the best covers of this song, possibly the best. Outright phenomenal.
Unfortunately, it seems the mixing on the Spotify version emphasises the low bass a bit too much and the vocals/mid range frequencies get rather swamped and quiet. The sawtooth synth is also massively reduced, which might've been a good call in moderation, but really loses the crunchy presence of the bass riffs. These issues could be solved by reducing the sub-bass presence by a couple db (especially in stereo), re-introducing some of the sawtooth synth for the crunchy bass, and throwing some compression (or simply increasing volume) on the hihats/snares/vocals to bring out the presence of those glorious mid-frequencies.
As it stands, the UA-cam version is much more enjoyable to listen to for me.
One thing i found intresting is that shido is diffrent from other bosses in game sense all of them have some sort of gimmick but shido hes diffrent he just fights no multiple spots to hit no item sacrifice no crown to knock off or infinite lackeys to knock down. just him aganist the phantom thieves. could also represent he has so much pride in himself he dosent need some sort of tricks to win aganist the phantom thieves all in all a great character.
Futaba is best girl and no one will tell me otherwise. This song is beyond amazing.

The funny thing is that I have never player any game from the Persona series and I only found out about it when Joker was realised as a DLC fighter in Ultimate, but this one of the best songs I’ve ever heard
