This is the stuff cars shows on Netflix/TV should be showing us. More details and how the smaller parts are made, what actually goes into building these things... Good work guys!
Hell yea! The boss man getting in there and showing the old school tricks! Bro firewall came out bad ass. Time for u to hit it with ur master patina touch.
Back in the 80’s had a buddy owned a travel-all it had that old 6 and the carb just sputtered and spit. So instead of fixing the carb we put our money together and got a personalized license plate SURGE we went everywhere in that thing!✌️
I am not even a shade tree mechanic, but I’ve always been interested in cars and metal work. I really enjoy and appreciate your videos. I don’t think anyone has a better mix of entertainment and information while keeping the videos a good length. I also appreciate that you don’t go way overboard for the sponsors. You guys are rocking it!
Yeah, that thing looked like a rust bucket when it came it. Can’t wait to see the build coming along. I guess we are not looking for perfection on this one🤙🤙
I'd like to see an old school polished bare metal clear coat car on here. That look reminds me of old school aircraft like the douglas dc-3, the f-86 sabre, or say a b29 bomber. Would definitely present a good challenge considering how perfect you have to get the metal.
Hey guys! I bought a cnc plasma table about 6 months ago with no cad/cam experience. I have a few piece of advice that worked for me, fusion 360 has sooo many features it can be overwhelming to start out, I use Shapr 3D on my iPad and can sketch with the pencil, I can create anything on there and then send it to fusion 360 simply to convert to a cut file…. Simplified my life. If you have any questions feel free to reach out! Edit: also my favorite part of shapr is the ability to take a small bracket iv made out of cardboard, put a ruler next to it, take a picture, import the picture and easily scale it using the ruler in the picture. no exaggeration from cardboard cutout to metal part in my hand in under 20 minutes
Hey talk to Puddin's Fab Shop , he's the other UA-camr who has a travelall with an LS Swap, he might have parts. I Love these, looking forward to the build.
Holy crap! Did you buy this car from Switzerland? Because the floor looked like Swiss cheese... 😲 But yeah, this is why shops like S2S need to exist and teach the next generation. Oldschool metalwork and repairs instead of just change out parts... 😎👍
lol! If we want to be keeping these cars on the road, we definitely need to start teaching the next generate about metal fab! These cars aren't getting any less rustier!
So what happens to the backside of a panel patch where the weld is? The exposed side gets worked and painted to keep it from rusting but what happens to the back?
I’m stoked to see what else you are going to do for this travall. Also JAred from wrench everyday knows of a good shop that deals with nothing but old internationals. I can’t remember the name I think it was like jrc garage but I really can’t remember
Truck lookn good. Love the air ride. Just hope you have more luck with airlift then I and alot of other folks do. My air manifold is on its way back to them again for the 2nd time in less then a year and still has less then 100 miles on it. Their custom service has gotten so bad that a couple of the companies that do air ride kits have completely quit selling their products. Even worse when I sent them my manifold # they tried to tell me it wasn't their part.
@@SalvagetoSavage honestly in all the years iv built using airlift I seem to have had an issue with almost every manifold or controller used but their customer service used to be 10x better. Reason I went with airlift and also reason I bought a 3s manifold rather then upgraded more was bc they advertised rise on start which it didn't have. But it's all good just got get n there ass a bit now to get good customer service
why nobody puts sound treatment on the roof? Its a huge metal resonating piece that will increase the comfort many times if soundproofed and in the summer the heat insulation would really shine
