Definition of independent scaffold-In this type of scaffolding, the structure of the scaffolding is on both the sides of the wall and stands erect independently without any support on the wall.
Maximum Height of Independent scaffold -16 M
Load Class/ Types of Duty -
Load Class -3-General duty-Maximum loading capacity -200kg/m2/Maximum Transom spacing -1.2 m
Load Class -4-Heavy duty-Maximum loading capacity -300kg/m2/Maximum Transom spacing -0.9 m
Inside board loaded to 75kg/m2 at working lift
Foundation design leg load:1600kg(1865kg if a cantilever fan is Included
Criteria of independent scaffold
as per TG-20:13 Chapter 06
Main Board - 3-5 & UpTo 2 boards inside wide
Maximum Lift heights- 2.0 m
Bracing - Facade brace in every elevation, one set per six bays
Ledgers braced at alternate standards and at end frames
Tied Duty & Tie spacing -as per NASC UK -TG-20 Chapter 07
1*light duty tie 350 kg .
Tie per 16m2/Maximum 4m between tie lines (Ties required at alternate lifts)
max 4m horizontal distance between vertical tie lines.
