I really like this tutorial. A number of new things to think about for a clamshell project. Thank you.

"Flatasaurous," I'm going to be giggling all day. Possibly every time I iron for the rest of my life. 🌻🍄

My mom's favorite type of quilt was an applique quilt but I never had the patience to applique by hand. I love that you have shown a viable way for me to create an applique quilt ❤

I adore that we can use strips for this project. I have wanted to do a clamshell project for a while now - so thank you so much!

This is such a fun and pretty project! I appreciate you showing both hand and machine stitching. Hand stitching is my fav. When I want to rotary cut tight curves I flip my mat over, then I don't have to be as concerned about gouging the mat.

Omg i want those little crumb offcuts!!! The only quilting i do is with scraps no one else wants - mostly bits given to me by people who sewed masks during the pandemic. Stitching these little bits together became my most helpful therapy back then, and it continues today. My fam can always tell how stressed i am by the number of squares i make lol

Love your piece the colours look fabulous. Great tutorial. Clamshells look amazing but they are a pain to baste even with glue basting they still take a fair bit of time.

How do you remove the paper, or do you not have to?
