Guys i know the missing hp dmg from qw is isolated or cc. I literally say in the video im fumbling over my words because people from previous hwei videos were saying i used qw wrong when i literally am testing damage to see if its worth poking people from far away. Commenters b like omg did you not read the ability how come ur doing that??? When im taking shots at people 3 screens away on a 3s cd.

you should abuse the AA- WE- EE AA combo for laning, if you WE while AA is in the air, the WE procs and then you EE, activates the passives and is 100% hit with EE slow, you can do it trough minions and is really fast, so is hard to react to, the last AA is not mandatory but is the last WE proc so yeah, very nice combo to abuse low/mid range champions, you can just win lane using this. (sorry for my bad english xd)
That sequence from 3:21 to 4:45 was absolutely insane
The execute on his qw ONLY applies when they're isolated or immobilized, that's why it didn't kill the twitch when he was in the wave
My only concern with Hwei is his 18 base armor. I’ve played him a bunch on PBE and he’s definitely super strong but the ad assasin matchups are rough

Try using EW when they're under turret to zone them from farm. More often than not you end up getting a cheeky root and then kill.
I really think Malignance first is the play
You said it yourself, you need your ult to carry teamfights. Malignance gives you your ult more often and empowers it to do more damage.
It drops a Morg W under everybody who gets touched by the AoE that also strips their MR, it's super good.

Honestly, you never were bad on this champion, even back when you thought QW was worthless. But seeing these later vids, I don't think I've seen anybody else use his kit as completely as you.
Edit: That being said, thinking of what you thought about skipping 1st mana item, it might be worth it building just chapter and then moving onto another 1st legendary. It would push 1st item powerspike later, would give access to full damage legendary earlier and without actually pushing 2nd item powerspike later. Not sure thought.
I was thinking the same thing about building. Get chapter, then rush something else (like Stormsurge).
Similar to like how azir sometimes does lost chapter -> shadowflame? Interesting idea tbh.

His QW execute damage is conditional on the target being isolated or crowd controlled.
It doesn't even execute. It deals lower damage than Q even when the max damage conditions are met.
@@giulia1361 it does damage based on missing health so it's considered an execute. QE damage is partially lying because it requires the person to stay in for the full duration and QE also doesn't have QW's range.
@@nfzeta128 Then QW is just a skill that deals damage based on missing health. Im also wrong, QW can potentially deal higher damage than QQ. An execute is something like Pyke's ult or Urgot's.
@@giulia1361 That's modern times execute, with full and actual thing but for many years people considered skills with missing health damage an execute.
QW also doesn't deal it's extra damage unless the person is CC'd or isolated.
I cant believe this is the guy tyna keeps saying is super smart... PEKIN the bonus damage occurs ONLY if they are isolated or immobilized, but the amount of bonus damage is based on missing HP.
I mean to be fair, it takes 200 years to read the whole kit or something like that. People are gonna miss stuff.

I was trying to say people would tell me I'm wrong for trying to kill someone with qw because of like only immobilization. Or like id put it at the end of minions so it's only hit one champ but sadly it hits a minion and people flip shit telling me to read the ability. It's kinda wild people think I don't read it all the abilities. Ever since the first game I knew about isolation but if someone is low I'd still fish for it even if they are grouped

There is a bug on PBE where you can build experimental hexplate and it gives way more ult cdr than intended which the twitch was trying to abuse. There is a way to keep the bug and still do a normal build but idk how

sick plays but pls playtest Hwei, all your q, w+e, all your e and and your ult procs your passive. So you can proc it by hitting q and just w+e auto and you can proc it 4times in one combo. Like at 9:03

yes this. If they're low but not isolated or cc'ed it just does the base damage. 16:35 is an example. Enemy Hwei didn't die because his minion wave came so QW did base damage.

I’ve played a bunch of hwei now and I think he’s gonna be a bit to strong at launch (as with almost every champ) but I don’t think his kit is inherently busted. He’s just a bit overturned for damage.

He has a skill that refunds mana, so the cost needs to make up for that utility. Otherwise he’d never run out.
It's probably there to dissuade pure spam builds. Now he's forced to build mana and damage to make his abilities count. If he had the room to build pure spam without running out, he'd run the risk of always having the perfect tool up. But that's just me.
