@@bilogskii2216 I don't think we know enough about the two Admiral candidates enough to make that claim, and having people better than them does not automatically meant they were bad, it could be that they just don't have the quality for the job, for example powerful devil fruit abilities that Green Bull and Fujitora have, or that they (the new Admirals) have other qualifications giving them priorities over the other two, such as Celestial Dragon's recommendations (I mean Green Bull seems to be quite loyal to them). Not saying you are wrong, just that we know too little of the Marine headquarters politics to make an educated guess as of yet.

8:30 Venus' sword looks completely different from the one he had before this chapter, even as recent as 1115 his sword had the Kitetsu style sword guard and a different hilt, I wonder if it was an error or something else is going on.

@@anmolt3840051 It would have to be a hard error to have, especially when he has to draw a similar sword in Zoro's hand the right way while making the mistake on Venus', and even more ridiculous it was recognized as a Kitetsu blade the very next panel, a sword that he had drawn time and again for over two decades. No impossible, but then I will fear for Oda's health/sanity (too many all-nighters, at least I hope).

@@Barackobarrels For swords he sure as hell was consistent (unless you are referring to size, which is not due to error), I can't see an artist (even an amateur would have a hard time being inconsistent within the same panel) making such an error unless he is in a compromised state. But to add to you examples maybe the Kitetsu blades are special on their own, after all Enma has a special ability (unexplained) and was labeled as a cursed blade, what makes the Kitetsu blades cursed if they have nothing special to them.
The UA-cam Channel "One Piece Explained" pointed out Venus's sword was seemingly reversed, leading to the possibility that his Kitetsu is actually able to be drawn from both the top (the standard) or the bottom (the tail of the scabbard), evident by how every time his sword had the standard guard and hilt he was using his right hand (Chapter 1110,1113,1115), the only time it looks different is when he using the sword with his left (Chapter 1117, actually drawn with his right, he just change his grip to the left after he saw Zoro's attack incoming)).

This was a very sus ending. I always thought that vegapunk knew about york, at least about her intentions. After all york was once part of the stella so it basically means stella also has the same feelings of greed of york, which means he knew she would eventually betray him. Then we know york didn't connect her memories with punk records, but what if some other vegapunk did the same. Then I go back to the beginning of egghead and shaka "the good" called dragon saying he was going to die. We also see that in the broadcast shaka was the one with stella, so it means he knew about the plan, which makes sense why stella trusts him as he is his "good" part. I suspect stella knew about york but couldn't do anything because those were also his own feelings. But shaka his "good" part organized something behind his back so that his "greed" could not win and passed the snail to dragon. There is no way york could predict it as she said I am also a vegapunk, but she is only a part of stella. She might be able to predict stella but not shaka. The fact that at the end we cut to york saying it is over seems like calm before the storm for her. And it just seemed like the transmission was too easily ended. It is a weird feeling

That was theories and speculation, but it wasn’t confirmed until now. Water 7 didn’t confirm that the entire world had flooded, and while we knew that Joy Boy was the enemy of the world gov, we didn’t know some of the details. Example: a century long war, Joyboy trying to use the ancient weapons to accomplish something, etc, better hints to what Roger pirates saw at laugh tale. There is certainly new info and theories being confirmed correct

1. Zoro vs Nusjuro clash was long expected, but it was great! Seems like they both noticed each other's Kitetsu blades. (EDIT: I'm looking forward to hearing Nusjuro's dialogue/thoughts about Zoro when they're back at Marie Jois)
2. The Iron Giant getting one shot was so anti-climatic. All that edging for nothing.

I’ll be frank. I think York is celebrating a bit too soon. Why would the great Genius Vegapunk. Who always suspected someone took a piece of the mother flame. Even though York didn’t share her memories. But for something like this, that’s supposed to shock the world. He doesn’t have a back up to the main transponder snail relaying his prerecorded message. And one that is off site in case they attempted to destroy the main one? Or the main one is somewhere else but they started the broadcast on the back up to make the elders think they got it.
Something tells me. Next chapter, the straw hats make their move and meet up. And as their sailing away. The message continues. And Vegapunk finishes what Ohara started. Hints at whatever it is with the D. Then name drops the ancient kingdom. Then broadcast officially ends next chapter. With the final panels being the straw hats escaping with the giants. the marines failing to stop them. The elder’s being pist that Vegapunk succeeded. York is scared for her life. Maybe some reactions from other D members. Then chapter ends on something epic. Just in case Oda does decide to take another break. Hopefully not. I would like to go back to 3 chapters then break. But Oda is Oda. Let the man take the rest that he needs.

Oda told us about the "sinking world" in 1085 from the letter from Queen Lily which was cut off and in 1115 we found out the world actually sank. 1117 we get another cut off message about the D that we'll probably learn about in 30-ish chapters
This chapter was amazing
So, the "mo-" thing is almost certainly _not_ anything that starts with, well, "mo-" in English. Since it's in hiragana, it's as the note says: either the particle for "also, with, in addition to, etc." or it's a Japanese word that begins with the sound. If it was in katakana, we'd be having a different conversation, but because it's not we can assume it is some Japanese word. I would put practically all my money on it being the particle, though, as the previous sentence refers to something among the D. clan. I haven't seen the Japanese, but I can imagine that the grammar of the sentence ends up leading into the "mo-" which would indicate that it's more than likely the particle. So, "also".
Like you I liked the idea of yamato joining right after wano. But with something you said you made me realize the error with this. Luffy does not want a shortcut and Yamato knew too much. She knew about joy boy and momonosuke's role.
So we have to wait for egg head and possibly more for Yamato to join :(

I called it. It’s too soon yet, to know the full story. I knew Dr. Vegapunk’s message would get cut off at the end. We won’t know the full story until the end. Most likely they’re gonna do a flash to this moment at the end, like they’ve done before. It’s like how when we first see Roger and the Sea Kings, we only saw a glimpse, but in the anime you know someone else was involved, it wasn’t until Oden’s flashbacks that we got the full story.

I remember it being stated during the oden flashback that the government intentionally combined the initial with his name to hide the fact that he was a member of the clan so there’s not too many people aware of that.
