I am madly in love with you two! I ‘m an old lady trying to get healthy and you are my favorite people to watch!
You make me giggle at your silliness and my heart smiles at your bond and affection.
When I’m trying to fall asleep at night I think...I wonder if those sweet, funny Krock kids would adopt me?
Then I think... I hope those Krock kids put some new videos up for me to watch. 😍
Seriously, I love you both. Can I adopt you? ❤️

I have a silicon brush. I use it to brush marinade on foods before I air fry them. You can wash it in the dishwasher and I think they are more sanitary than traditional brushes.

My favorite kitchen tool by a mile is my instant pot. I use it absolutely every single day since I bought it and don’t know how I ever lived a minute without it. I no longer buy canned beans anymore - I just put dry in the instant pot for delicious meals and save a ton of money. I cook everything that I can in it because it saves me so much time. An added bonus, is that the other members of my family can simply help themselves to dinner. The instant pot has a place of honor on the main kitchen counter and that ease-of-use has taken quite a burden off of Mom here (me!). Thanks for this terrific product review. The stand outs that I will probably get are the silicone mat and the double bladed salad chopper. I mentioned in another comment to one of your videos that the salad challenge (“The salad is the main dish!“ - Dr. Joel Fuhrman) ended up being too much for me day after day, but that device might really help me. Thanks again!

I have found the Kitchenaid can opener to be smooth acting but it does leave a burr that I am compelled to bend flat so no one else can get hurt when it goes to recycling. I have a mandolin that came with my chopper that I got on QVC several years ago. Seeing you all use both, I am inspired to get them out for regular use. My husband and I went whole food plant based vegan about 4 months ago. We have chopped so many veggies by hand! I sure appreciate your channel. I watch at least one of your videos every day since I found you. Thanks for sharing!

Recently bought a chopper for onions. First time I've chopped onions fast enough that my eyes don't burn! Hubby loves onions - raw, cooked, all of them. I can tolerate them cooked, and I do it for him. New subscriber, love your channel! We just started a 21-day WFPB challenge (via UC Davis, on FB) and so far he (the picky eater) loves all the meals. Looking forward to trying some of your recipes in the future!

I love my large Sistema microwave steamer for potatoes and veggies. It is vented and has a lift out steamer tray so items aren’t sitting in moisture. I steam whole potatoes in 5-8 minutes (depending on size). No oil or water required. It can also be used for storing food in the fridge if I’m too lazy to remove. It is also bomb for broccoli and cauliflower. You do need to tinkerer with timing because every microwave is different (as I found out after a recent move). Got mine from the Amazon (of course) for under 20 bucks but I have also seen them at Ross and Home Goods.

My favorite kitchen helpers are my Beeswax wraps which I use instead of plastic bags. They can be washed and dried by hand and placed over containers of leftover food . Also my nut bag and my net bags for my fresh produce at the market so I don’t need plastic bags.
    Thanks guys good video.

@@KrocksInTheKitchen Aww guys! I'm from the UK and I campaign a vegan or plant based diet for higher consciousness, mainly the animals that are needlessly butchered purely because all the advertisements say we need to eat meat to be strong and healthy where in reality its the total opposite. I really want to add content to my own channel to promote but i am single and so shy of making videos, kind of anxiety i suppose. You guys could well have encouraged me to start. I was planning to get a tortilla press but then watched a video where they used a clear pie plate (which I already have) to press the tortilla mix. I've decided that until I've made tortillas a couple times using that method, I don't have enough proof that a tortilla press would actually get used and will save my money.

I do not recommend the splatter guard for the microwave. It stains and you have to rinse it off every time. The clear one particularly just ends up looking like sauce if you use sauce.

Silicone jar grips are good for opening slippery or stubborn jars and Bed Bath and Beyond has a big silicone round one for the microwave. I like it. I also have a lot of magnetic clips for when I buy something which doesn't reseal. Also they have magnetic timers which you can put on the fridge. I like those for when I am cooking a dish with a lot of different times involved. My cell phone works for that, too, but I find that sometimes I have something that I want to add to a dish at a certain time. Alexa or Siri and UA-cam are excellent kitchen gadgets.
For having a system for food storage, the Ball jar system of bulked goods works nicely. Where I live, some of the stores let you bring in your Ball jars and they will trade you one of yours for one of theirs which has been sanitized. A lot of bulk goods places only let you use Ball jars, but it is okay because their glass is one, which tested for less toxicity. (Some made in China ones didn't test well.) I made the mistake of buying something else, but you live and learn. Best to come into alignment with what everybody else is doing.

Fair warning. Make sure when dicing an onion with the smaller hole blade, that you cut the onion in thin slices. Last week, I attempted to dice half of an onion and had my full weight on the lid. When it finally gave, I ended up punching myself in the rib and fractured it. I am still hurting 9 days later :(

Although I can appreciate your understandable affinity for Brians, I'm personally quite partial to my Marc. He would totally chop lettuce for me any time I'd want. Of course, he basically never lets me deal with anything heavy so he's done it to himself. So, I would advocate for Marcs, but probably not Marks. I've had bad experiences with those. ;)

I just saw your 2 weeks of potatoes video and it was But you mention following Joel Furman's book. Idk if you're aware, but it's come out that he's been pretty dishonest about his study results and outcomes. His statement the 100 people lost weight and kept it off is actually just FOUR people had kept the weight off after one year. The other Drs who took part, have withdrawn their names from the study. You can find the details about this on the Veg source channel. If you're already up on this, I apologize. Dr Kahn and Dr Garth Davis are vegan Drs who do yt videos, and Dr Essylstyn, his wife, and daughter have great recipe videos. Of course I had to subscribe to you guys too, lol. Btw my favorite gadget atm is my nutribullet for super quick and easy personal size smoothies. 💚🌱💚

We started out following the "6 week plan" in Dr. Fuhrman's Eat To Live, but have adapted it over time the past 11 months to fit our lives. We've had a lot of success following those guidelines, but have started checking out other whole food plant-based doctors as well. I think all of the different plans are good for certain people and everyone has to find what works best for them! In our case, a combination of a few seems to work great. I just started reading Dr. McDougall's The Starch Solution. We have seen some of the Esselstyn's stuff as well and will check out the others you suggested!
We had a Magic Bullet (which is I think similar, but not as good as a NutriBullet) but it broke! We are doing another video on our favorite small appliances and you'll see we have way too many 😂 LOL.
      Thanks for watching!

@@KrocksInTheKitchen I just bought The Starch Solution too! Lol The Fuhrman diet is still better than the SAD (standard American diet) for sure. I just wanted to fill you in after seeing how committed you both were. I felt it wouldn't be fair to you if you had followed his advice to the letter and it didn't work, some people might blame themselves unfairly. Instead, it's a good example of why following your own common sense can be so important. Nice! There's also 2 vegan nutritionists I like. You might already know them. Mic the Vegan gives great explanations, and Hench Herbivore is a British certified nutritionist and body builder. He'll answer questions too.
