- A genuine 1973 archive film, originally colour 16mm film of a snap shot of the 1973 VSCC club events.
many famous vintage cars a lot of which are still being used and raced today at places like Goodwood.
it features Curborough in the wet with spins and crashes, Silverstone with 24 litre Bentley and Bugattis, ERA and Riley. Coopers and a fine pair of Bristols. The famous welsh trials up muddy hills, driving test. Lots of club members are shown as they liked to be seen in the club film shown in a cinema at the end of the year.
Filmed and produced by my late Father David Roscoe. He stopped racing himself in 1959 and took up film making in a semi professional capacity and made films of Racing and club motorsport, setting up his company Roscoe Films to do so. This was until the mid 1970's when he went back to racing in VSCC events. I hope to upload many more of his films. Copyright remains with Roscoe Films. Love the English stiff upper lip comedy commentary. I went to a few rallies in the 60’s with this era of vehicles. Loved the events. 👍🏻😁🇦🇺

Classic footage and commentary. Most enjoyable especially the autotests. I loved driving in them and actually got a FTD once... No idea how, I suspect the timing wasn't working properly 😉

How lovely to see and remember the "old" pits at Siverstone ! Happy days , when I raced a Ginetta G4 in MG car club meetings there. I felt 10 feet tall to be on the tarmac.
So glad it brings back good memories. Dad would be chuffed his films are still appreciated and becoming an historic reference it seems. Venues, cars and drivers
