Phoebe, you have a "wealth of knowledge" when explaining the appearance and performance of the polishes. I truly appreciate that.
I wish that I had seen your HOLO comparison before purchasing CG- I Sea Ponies..... Now I understand, "you get what you pay for"!
Love the swatch comparison/dupe inserts. It allows me an opportunity to study the polish differences easily. And, it is much nicer to see the chart immediately after the live polish swatch, rather then at the end of the vid.

Holo can you glo and I sea ponies are the same they just had to rename the polish due to licensing agreements. Also good lux charm is the same as let your twilight sparkle.

This was one of those collections I really wanted to like, but I got Ma-holo at me and was so disappointed by it I didn't even want to bother with the rest of it. Glad you're back Phoebe!

So glad you are back and posting again, I really missed you. Would these polishes thicken up a little and work better if you left the cap off for a little while? I might pick up a couple later in the year if I can find on clearance. I like that neon purple and the mer-made blue.

Love this format. Almost every time I think "that looks like x polish..." then boom it pops up on your comparisons! Thanks for your honest opinion... some of these are colors I'd grab off the shelf without a second thought - now I know to pass.
I do soo appreciate that you don't sugarcoat it for us. I almost always wait until i see your review on china glaze before buying so now i know that i don't have to long for them. i do think i will get the mermaid one if i find it on the web in eu so that i don't have to pay taxes on it.
I only grabbed 2out of the whole set. tropic Of Conversation and the pink one forgot name already. I kept thinking I want to get more but not now. Maybe the light blue but not sure. Thanks for the review. Cannot wait for the color Club Holo review.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate your opinion and I do take what you say in consideration when I purchase nail polish. I love colors but I don't like buying bad formula nail polish. It's not fun to apply if it's difficult to work with. I get frustrated and I won't wear the nail polish as much. So I feel that is a waste of my money.

I love the colour of Water Falling in Love and I hated the formula too. It was a runny watery mess and bubbly too. I was disappointed. Going to check out Chalk Me Up now! 😀
I feel like CG’s formula has always been.. tricky, for lack of a better word. I’ve always rooted for CG but the hit or miss formula really disappoints me. I thought that after their amazing spring collection they’d finally get it together but once again they got me ☹️ still purchased 3 colors just to support, but don’t think I’ll be picking up any more from this collection.
Love your reviews girl. I did end up buying some of them and so far I like them. They are a little runny and when you get bomb Indies it's hard to excuse that but I did enjoy the ones I got

It's a shame that the formula sucks so bad, the colors are lovely. But I've heard sooo many people complain about the formula and how hard it is to work with. What a bummer😫!
I already bought them all before I saw this video after seeing another review and I wish I had seen yours first Phoebe, what was I thinking? So this morning I tried them all out and the only 3 I really had no trouble with were Water Falling in Love, Stop Beach Frontin' and Kiki in Our Tiki... Made for Bluer Waters I didn't have too much brush strokes but this one has been done and done and done...I got thin spots with Boujee Board, I loved Can't Sandal This but it kept grabbing and that was irritating. I loved All Sun and Games, Tropic of Conversation and Don't Be Sea Salty best with a shiny top coat to bring out the sparkle but that was after 4 coats to get it all even. Ma-holo at me and Holo can you were okay on two coats but the stand out for me was I'll Sand by You! I loved it and it was nearly a one coater for me - ohmy gosh that Cabana Fever though! I was tempted to pitch it but decided to keep it in my desk for whiteout LOL and I so agree with what you said about it - I just wish I had seen your video first. Also, would suggest double base coat on Boujee Board if you stain easily like I do.
First, I enjoy your new video format. I am also disappointed in this c.g.collection. Such pretty colors however as you said there are many other mainstream and indie options that are better. Thanks for another great video.
That’s too bad the polishes weren’t very cooperative. China Glaze has been hit and miss for me too. I don’t get them often.

what is up with China Glaze these days - do they think we'll buy any old *bleep?! lol. I'm not a polish maker, but there is no excuse for bad formulas these days. They have such great formulas in their past, how is it possible to get worse?! I just don't understand that. It's like a bar watering down the beer so they can sell more!

There's a few of these I need simply because of the name..but yea the collection overall is kinda Meh. I absolutely loveddd the glam finale and the Chic physique collection.
I'm really sad about this collection. I have always looked forward to China Glaze summer collections, but the last couple years they have completely bombed for Summer. :(
