I used to watch this exact video all the time when I was younger
Just built this in creative along with the video, very nicely done. As a personal preference I used birch wood and added some glowstone under carpet along the edges of the house as lights. I also made the interior roof out of slabs in the center and stairs along the edges for a slightly beveled effect. As I play modded minecraft I don't really decorate the interior very much, but what you did looks really nice, thanks for the video and enjoy your vacation.
