One little detail about Johnny's uppercut fatality that makes it even awesomer to me: When he throws the head at the camera, the head actually closes it's eyes for impact then slowly opens them as it slides down the camera, lol. I love little attention to detail like that.
After watching this "rate the finisher" series from MK4 to MK11, wow - the gore has come so far since then. Not just that, but the framing too - we went from a camera that gets clipped by gibs/walls and probably spins way too much, to every shot being perfectly framed for the most impact.
There's not a single character in the roster that doesn't have at least one really good one. Also, I don't know why but I actually really like the Kano headbutt fatality, it feels like a perfect fit for Kano's character and there's just something incredibly brutal about this violent aussie smashing your skull into paste with his. I agree that Johnny's are the best overall though.

It's also possible he's not a completely solid object as he goes through her. If he's solid, it physically cant happen, but they aren't willing to use their imagination on that. He becomes fire.

Honestly the reason why they made him do that I think is because with every fatality there is a gush of blood at the end So in order for there to be a gush of blood at the end of kollecters he just smashes your lungs so theres a gush of blood to keep the theme going
I think the thing with Skarlet's second Fatality is that she pumps *so much* blood into her opponent's heart that it just POPS from all of the pressure building inside. It's not so much her own blood being tainted or whatever.
Liu Kang was originally based off of Bruce Lee (similar to how Johnny Cage was based of Jeanne Claude Van-Damm and Sonya was based off Cynthia Rothrock) so it makes sense

Ed Boon have always said that Kabal is based heavily on Flash from day one, as Ed is a huge Flash fan. So using that argument that it looks like Flash to put down the rating, does seem odd to do.
Kanos headbutt fatality would have been a lot cooler if on the last impact he shot an eye laser that cut the head in half as he pulled back. I imagine this brutally elegant movement. Really a lot of these could have been improved by very minor tweaks.. For instance the Kollectors fatal where he is collecting pieces of the opponent felt too rushed. It would be far more terrifying if he took a bit more time in his dissection and you got to see the delight on his face when he found what he wanted. Things like that.
What I also love about Johnny's Triple Uppercut finisher is he makes a reference from the Old MK movie when he shouts "WHO HIRED THIS GUY?!", which is something he said in the beginning of the film

I think the thing with Skarlet's second Fatality is that she pumps *so much* blood into her opponent's heart that it just POPS from all of the pressure building inside. It's not so much her own blood being tainted or whatever.

Kanos headbutt fatality would have been a lot cooler if on the last impact he shot an eye laser that cut the head in half as he pulled back. I imagine this brutally elegant movement.
Really a lot of these could have been improved by very minor tweaks.. For instance the Kollectors fatal where he is collecting pieces of the opponent felt too rushed. It would be far more terrifying if he took a bit more time in his dissection and you got to see the delight on his face when he found what he wanted. Things like that.
What I also love about Johnny's Triple Uppercut finisher is he makes a reference from the Old MK movie when he shouts "WHO HIRED THIS GUY?!", which is something he said in the beginning of the film

Kollector has a lot of pent up resentment for literally everyone else, he's getting out. I liked that a lot because it seemed appropriate for him
There's a lot of cases where I think they're just smashing stuff for the flashy win screen. Erron's acid fatality would have been better if they took out the stomp and froze on his boot pressing on their melting head.
