Hank Reinhardt was a good friend of mine and I’m very glad to see someone who appreciates the Kukri as much as he did. He and Blackie Collins did a lot of work on them as well.
Well it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance Sir...and yes I'm very happy with the build, feel and performance, it's a wonderful Kukri I'm hoping they continue with the line, next up is the Harsey Spartan Kukri
@@JoeSteel1 the changes with your suggestions. The deflection was interesting. Like you I have an affinity for Kukri’s. You ever score one of those Hanwei Kukris? 👍🇺🇸
I just like being near woodlands, and being near the water on all sides, being an Island adds a nice breeze at times..yes KaBar Is so much more than people stamp them as...
@@JoeSteel1 only similarity that I can think of was when I visited my friends family on Long Island 🤷🏽 I think that as Kabar releases new designs, people will look at them as a newer and better knife maker.
Mine came with a very steep edge so I had to put quite a lot of job of reprofiling into a REAL 20 degrees edge. But now the sharpness is scaring even myself :D It's a powerfool tool for sure.
I can see that...the blade is think needs some refined work on it, now that I reviewed it..but agreed a great and powerful tool...I may remove the coating as well

You might want to check out the condor kukri as well
Joe Flowers, yes that sweet, eventually, but I'm attempting on researching American made Kukri at the moment
Fantastic offering from Kabar, and great review as always! I’m not a big fan of ocean side, but the outdoors is definitely my zen zone.

Yeah for a couple of reasons I think overall the OG over sees Kukris are better .
Nice Blade. I will have to put one on the list. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Ahhhh the never ending list of steel..😄
I have one, I like it, it’s just not as sharp as it should be for a kabar
Yes, it was sharp enough, but it definitely could have been sharper
USA made Kukri = yes yes!
More of those to come 💪💪💪
You should check the out the vakra from ZT I believe they’re the best America blade makers.
ZT are really making some of the toughest builds on the planet, very purpose driven, haven't had the pleasure yet
I got worn out just watching Joe beat on that thing so long. It's definitely durable, thats for sure.
I got worn out using it...ran out of fuel at end...😁
How would you conceal carry a kukri this size in a civilian context for self defence?
I got one on the review block from Spartan that's a little smaller, extremely bad A$$ and might be easier, this is too long on the hip
