Inazuma was a wacky anime but it was almost always entertaining

“No strategy or character arcs” is HEAVILY downplaying this series. We literally have game strategy meetings most games, tacticians like Kidou, coaches like Himiko, even the opponents have shown to have great strategies which was a major theme throughout the entirety of the show best shown in s3 when they had hissatsu tactics which made the meta change even more. And for character arcs nearly everyone has some type of character arc. Fubuki, Gouenji, Kidou, hell even Endou has an arcs where he needs to find out what he needs to do to become a better leader, friend, and captain.
Kidou and Fudou was my favourite part of S3, and the match against Korea. Killer Fields is one of my favourite techniques in the entire series just for that reason.
@@ConJakPre Kidou Fudou and Sakuma coming together to pack up Kageyama was truly peak. I remember when Kidou and Fudou first did killer fields because Kidou had to pop out and show them why he’s the BEST tactician in the series
@@metis7534 the fact that Sakuma went from an irrelevant nobody in the series to one of my favourite characters in great. I liked him in S2 but I wouldn't have expected him to be important after that one game. Basically, what happened to Genda(I think that's his name?)
When Endou was depressed and sitting on the roof in the rain, nobody could speak to me for an entire week i felt so bad for him
This series has the best soundtrack of any media out there and there is no changing my mind
I mean, the soundtrack of the Inazuma Eleven series IS composed by Yasunori Mitsuda himself. You know, the guy who also composed the OST for Chrono Trigger, one of the most revolutionary video games ever made.
Fun fact:
In the DS game. Otaku cheats by inviting the entire Raimon to eat in their cafe, except Gouenji (Axel) and Endou (Mark) who believe they should focus on the upcoming match. By match day, everyone's stats are set to 1 except the aforementioned duo. This leads your team being crippled and not being able to catch up with Otaku's players in duels. Most circumvent this by recruiting new players that have decent stats so you could at least pass the ball without your players losing it.
@@ThelordHayden34 Food poisoning. Back when I played it, I only used 'canon' characters so it was hell, didn't use any recruit characters.
I can usually make do with Gouenji alone. lv1 passes kinda suck and can go haywire but if rng is with you and you pass far away from enemies, you can get it to Gouenji fairly easily
They also go on a misinformation spree saying they won after all that shit!

Oh and don't forget about every single goalkeeper with an avatar
@@mohabalserafe3795he is actually one of them. Majin is one of, if not, the first Avatar used in the series.
@@mohamedzoulali5755 will I know that but at the time it was only exclusive to him then go came out and literally everyone in every single position has it even the defenders and then for some reason they scraped all of it in galaxy and decided to introduce the whole spirit thing which wasn't even need god I hate that season so much hands down the worst season with lots of wasted potential in the entire franchise existence
@@mohabalserafe3795 the first to use an Avatar (except Sor)(that we know of) was actually Endou Daisuke because he could also use Majin the Hand. Gouenji also got Surtr when using Bakenatsu Storm in season 2. Avatars were also kinda rare in season 1 of GO, which is why it came as such a shock when the entire team of Dragon Link could use them. As for the Earth Eleven being wasted potential, I kinda agree, it was pretty annoying how they just scrapped the whole Avatar deal and gave Tenma a second Spirit, YET AGAIN.
@@mohamedzoulali5755 oh yes I forgot about goengi's avatar too pretty sure him and Endo were the only ones using avatars all three seasons and by me saying exclusive to Endo I meant that he was the only goalkeeper in the whole three season of the OG show that uses the avatar sure daisuke was the founder of most Mamoro's techniques but we never see him do it in person we only know about it from Endo's descriptions of the move from his grandfather's book
inazuma eleven might be the weirdest sports anime ever, but as a child… me and all of my siblings would gather each time an episode aired on tv, it was so hype seeing the show and seeing new moves
Since i was a kid i'm still waiting to see Ronaldo perform a Fire Tornado. Until that time he won't be a good player to me.
I mean, Ronaldo's overhead kick against Juventus is the closest humanly possible move to a Fire Tornado
@@KAlZER0 you just need a taekwondo guy to come onto the field. He'll do it.
Idk how big Inazuma was on other countries, but here in Spain it was massive. People like me who were growing up while it aired on TV were so obsessed with it, and would go every day to the park after school to roleplay as the characters from the show with their friends, great times
can confirm! galaxy didn't come out of japan and we rallied so hard... sadly it didn't really work, but a team of translators came together to localize it into spanish! we're also the only country that got a galaxy dub afaik
It was also popular in France. My source is me (Frenchie here) and Google.
same in Poland there! Maybe not that much massive, but for suremore known than Blue Lock to statistic non-anime watching person.
@@silenttera666 the french voice actor of Endou/Mark will forever be stuck in my mind, it's crazy how recognizeable it was.
Inazuma Eleven is one of my favourite childhood shows and my first anime.
This anime is goated , may be funky and cringe or so , but extremly fun to watch , entertaining and rarely boring , also the animations are goated
It's funny, in the game, Otaku jr high cheated by giving the team bad food which heavily reduced their stats. Which could be overcome if you recuited a fake team to take the bullet for your main team.
Don't forget that after you still beat them (with only Endou and Gouenji because real men don't take those cheaters down with cheats) they will hack the tournament system and give themselves the victory with 10-0. This is also how they won most other matches.
I finished IE Go Galaxy 2 days ago, inspired by your previous video to watch what I had not finished - only that alien season. I have watched all of them in the past and I can only say: GUYS, DO NOT SLEEP ON INAZUMA. INAZUMA IS LOVE. INAZUMA IS LIFE. Sakka Yarouze! 💙⚡
Great to hear! You should give Ares and Orion a go if you haven’t already, I found them pretty enjoyable.
@mocha13 I watched Orion as it was premiering few yrs ago, they left the least impression on me and are a little differently animated, but they weren't bad, just a little weird to me rn.
@gomlagames I found it cool because the characters had their backstories and weren't just guided by Tenma and Shindou. But I was already used to the plot twists, so some parts were really predictable. Music was good, tactics were good, and the alien planets were beautiful. But I expected the scientist and princess to get together in the end. 9.1/10
Watching this as a 7-10 yr old child, seeing a grown adult trying to take out random 12 year olds, it made complete sense and felt like this is what the adult world was actually like
Oh yea fun fact aphrodi's japanese va is boruto's and endou's is Naruto's

"Willy crash" (or whatever it's called) is just a joke move
I’m really happy that this franchise’s fandom is slowly being revived because of victory road
Hell yea, gimme all them Inazuma videos.
As for Brainwashing, Dragon Tornado was already exceeding the data they had and was only barely caught the first time, thanks to the training center. It went through as either a show of mid-game improvement or a sort of passion, willpower or soul in the sport, which Mark was trying to inspire (even though defensive and stalling play can be it's own expression).
Tbh I love the moments where the same shot slowly starts to get through the Keeper, there's anoter real nice example with our boy Froste or Fubuki. It just shows that willpower and improvement and keeps us guessing a bit. Same vice versa with Keepers catching up to the Forward's shot!
7:40 the only change i would make is to put axel in S tier. The tierlist ist legit
I like how everyone in the tier list has their image be a still from the anime except for Mark as he has game art instead.
As a lifelong fan of the series I'm so glad videos like this finally exist. The series is so peak.
About Natsumi:
Ah, I see you’re a man of culture as well.
While Natsumi is kinda beautiful, I would not marry or have a relationship with her
One of my favourite cartoons to watch as a kid. Since "Go" was airing when i discovered the franchise, i never actually experienced the original serie but watching it again now brings back so many vibes. Happy that the serie is returning to be relevant thanks to the new game.
Maaaaan the nostalgia is real
You should try watching Captain Tsubasa, Inazuma Eleven's creator already said multiple times that Captain Tsubasa was his biggest inspiration for the creation of IE.
cool vid abt my childhood introduction to anime, just finished watching the previous one. Keep it up man
Inazuma 11 was my childhood anime along side Dragon ball, yes only believe in 2 things as an Adult.
You can't beat Goku
And Endou is is the best hype man ever.
But damn the ost when they do cool moves for the wins always give me chills.
And specially when they fail at it and the hype ost just cuts it makes me scared until now this ost cut I still remember it.
It's finally getting recognize after a decade
Brainwashing Jr. High vs. Raimon Jr. High was the most entertaining football match of the first season!
1:42 MOOON!
About the brainwashing team, i don't remember the anime that well since its been 2 years since my last watch and in the game they don't have that plot line, but i remember it was something about how the players of that team weren't playing with their hearts, like not blocking someone from catching a pass if the coach sent the order to let them go and steal the ball after, basically the team weren't players, they were pawns, characters in a game who can't move by themselves and that made endou angry because they weren't "playing their own football" (plus, im sure it still would be cheating if football players in our world played with headphones and were receiving orders from their directly in their ears, its different to tell players a strategy and actually give real time orders)
Inazuma 11 uses the wacky football action and stuff to do some great character writing. But we stay for the football action because ain't no way this is happening 😂
Ah yes, Inazuma Eleven, the most favourite football anime for spanish people
Not just Spanish most Arabic people including myself grow up with this franchise
In latinamerica was pretty popular as well. It was called Super Once (Super Eleven) the names of the characters were in japanese and was dubbed until the episode right before the match with South Corea.
Ig anything is possible in an anime where the goalkeeper will summon a whole other dimension or use military space probe to prevent a singular goal

I honestly forgotten about this anime but now it reminded me how much i used to to watch football. If it wasnt for this anime, id probably never watched the world cup 2012 and Euro 2014. The only thing i could somehow remember from the anime is Otaku high and the strategy of creating a smoke wall and moving the whole entire goal.

Because fire tornado got stronger that it can break the shield but the keeper can still stop it after that and compined with dragon crash it got more stronger that the keeper can't stop it
And maybe dragon crash also got stronger
I’m just not sure why he used Shot Pocket to stop Dragon Crash if he knew Fire Tornado alone was enough to break through it. He used Rocket Punch to stop Dragon Crash and it worked, it was weird he went back to using Shot Pocket after that. But again, I’m reading waaaay too much into it lol
@@mocha13 ... Yeah... The power scaling in the Inazuma Eleven series can be pretty hit or miss, but at least the original series' power scaling is not as egregious as the GO series.

Still one of my favourite franchises. I've played all the games before and currently watching the GO series as I never watched that part of the anime series
Tenma makes it really hard to dislike GO, he’s a really loveable character.
Ah, that's right. Since you're watching the GO series, make sure that you had watched the Inazuma Eleven GO: Ultimate Bonds Gryphon Movie, as this movie is actually still canon because it takes place right after Episode 32 in GO 1. After that, you would then just simply continue the GO series from Episode 33 and so on.

Inazuma Eleven is GOATED
Okay I might actually start a sports anime now…
Just so you know if you think some things aren't that fleshed out in the show it's probably int the games for example the coach of the second season is considered by the fandom as a bitch but shes actually fleshed out in the games and is more emotional and just a better character overall tldr if you find something not that well developed either play the games or watch a cutscene comp of them
@@dudesayshi2191 I personally thought Aqualina "Lina" Shiller/Kira Hitomiko was still decently fleshed out in the anime. It's just that it feels like the anime adaptation toned *up* her obnoxious attitude.
@@Loner098 yea she was way more mellow in the games and flawed she has a character arc but in the anime she feels like a Deus ex to explain everything to the cast

Ah, that explains that. I only watched the OG, and even then i never actually finished the World Cup arc.
Its an amazing anime tbh... It has amazing character growth and plot points that is sometimes great... Some are not... And then Go just basically exagerated it to the max. But the Original Series is golden... If they just switched the Alea and FFWC around, then it probably will be more memorable... But I do get it why they have to do that... The sad thing is how much they actually needed Kageyama Reiji to be alive, just so they can move the plot point soo much... And then he basically got "Talk'ed no Jutsu" in the end...
