- Ok here we go. A new cell activator recipe that is extremely simple to make and works just as well as the original. The color palette is AMAZING and this reusable copper bowl made the most amazing contours in this acrylic pour painting.
I'll explain the recipe now. Here are written instructions. The rest is up to you. Have fun creating and happy pouring❤️
Choose one cell activator color that you would like to use and put it to the side.
Choose a combination of regular acrylic paint colors and metallic acrylic paint colors. For your regular acrylic paint colors add paint to cup and thin down with water until the paint flows off the stick leaving a slight mound that quickly disappears. You are looking for typical acrylic pouring consistency.
For the metallic colors add 2 oz of paint to a cup. Add 1/4 oz of American Floetrol, mix together and then slowly add water until the paint flows off the stick. You want the consistency to match the regular colors that you only used water to thin down.
Now for the cell actually color
In a cup add 50% White Elmer's Glue and 50% water. Mix together. In a separate cup add 2 oz of your chosen color cell activator acrylic paint and 2 oz of American Floetrol. Mix those 2 together. To that cup pour in 6 oz of your glue and water mixture and stir together. If it feels like they are still a bit thicker than your other colors you mixed, simply add a little extra water till its the same consistency. For me using Amsterdam brand I did not need extra water.
That's it. Have fun!

Fantastic Tammy, I’m an Aussie so no trouble getting our Floetrol. I wish I could get American Floetrol. The cells held up great. You will be very appreciated by your American followers. ❤😊
Hi Tammy! Stunning!
I have tried that recipe yet, I am so excited for something new, love your videos Tammy!
This is so wonderful Tammy thanks for sharing your like secret recipes and techniques a lot of times people don't share so this is really quite a wonderful piece of work and it looks to me like A especially when you first started but as it goes just looks like a C animal, but it looks like a technique. You could certainly create like a large manta or something with that kind of technique. If you just know Taylor how you did it this is fantastic thank you so so much. It's really a bright light in my life right now today so this is glorious. I love the resident on top two wow oh wow.
