they have to have 2 for every event and there are 16 events (i might be wrong ) and then they have women's team and mens

these bonding things seem to work pretty well. they killed it in Rio!!! almost everybody on the swim team came home with medals.
Yeah one major thing with swimmers they would train with different teams around the country often against each other so now rivals are often teammates when it's international competition time

Elite athletes have elite bodies.
You pretty much need to be tall, you don't need to put in as much effort or strokes as the shorter people look at Reece Whitley he's 16 I think and he takes like 5 strokes per 25 so he just wrecks everyone cuz hes tall
Being tall has its advantages, but I feel like at his height, the amount of effort to move through the water exceeds the benefit of less strokes.
The swim team is the coolest. :-)
