On today's episode of The Luxury Home Show, Amy takes us on a tour of this outstanding west-facing apartment that has been designed to a very high specification for the current owner by the world renowned interior designer and architect Viktor Udzenija. Enjoy the tour!
You'll be pleased to hear they reduced the price from £25,000,000 to £19,500,000. Then down to £15,750,000, which didn't sell and they took it off the market. A realistic value is approx £2000 per sq/ft so £8,000,000 but i'd knock off another mil as it's so gaudy. £25 million?! The market and everyone else on the the planet say "no".
I'm amazed how often "luxurious" properties in London lack any sort of natural light and have many features that you usually associate with "poor homes," such as frosted windows to secure privacy, views directly into walls or someone else's window etc. This home is so dark even though the lights are on in every single room... It's interesting to be able to view these homes but it's not what I expected.
Amy is by far one of my favourite presenters on here. 💕🙌🏻 She knew her knowledge, no awkward pauses or saying “like” too much when trying to describe something. She just knew exactly what she wanted to say & was confident in describing and presenting it to us! 💗 She is an absolute natural! I can see her on presenting in media/TV in the future for sure if that’s what she wants to do then she has a natural talent for it! She just had a flow with what she was saying & didn’t jump from one thing to another without finishing what she was describing before and she tied it all in together…. So if she was starting at the beginning of the room she swept round and tied it all in! She knew the details too & brought them in at the right time. Sometimes I feel random details are thrown in as filler sometimes in-between describing. She placed the details perfectly as she went along! ✨✨ Found there to be a lot of structure to it but also flowed so well you wouldn’t notice the structure unless you were looking out for it like myself! 💕💕 Have her back on the channel please as a regular!
While the owner might not use the kitchen,I suspect dinner parties will be held for private/ business, and a professional chef/ catering company will be employed. And in a small kitchen it might be a squeeze to do the cooking and stay discrete at the same time.
For those saying its too expensive you don't understand that this is a piece unique house 1 of 1 in the heart of London. If I had I would rather invest my money in this, over house in the sticks with nothing going on any day of the week. London is literally the only place in the U.K worth living in.
Totally agree! She really knew her stuff! I’ve watched for a while & she was a complete natural! She was so flowy in her presenting if that makes sense! She just knew exactly when and where to say things, where to put the details in & she was so confident in her describing and presenting things to us that there was no awkward pauses or using “like” between words all the time. She was just so confident in what she was presenting that it just flowing from one thing to the next! She was excellent!💕
@@andyhall7032 I am not from the UK, but when I have watched vintage shows, they often had the kitchen and other utility rooms down in the basement. And the servants had their dining room in the basement and their bedrooms in the attic.
Stained glass in a Victorian or Edwardian house can be magnificent but these just look out of place and only serve to block the view of street traffic and passers-by.
Luxury space in London is so premium at £25million with just over 4000sqft its a bit steep but non the less the materials, accessories and detailing is just exquisite.🌟👌❤️
AMY, as I mentioned above first time commenting towards you, I saw the tours of both the Contemporary and Country Estate that you did in Mallorca, Sothebys also has made a great choice to have you do the tours!! You are really great at presenting the properties and that lovely accent should be on like Audible books etc, just a big fan of yours now😇👍❣
You were actually the best out of anyone on this channel to present in my opinion! - you have a natural way of presenting, no awkward pauses or using words repeatedly for example using “like” too much in-between words. Just very confident in what you are presenting. Not to mention, I’m not sure if it’s your own research you’ve done, but you seemed to know SO much & tell us little details that make the quality of the content so much better. You were just very confident in what you were saying, you didn’t look like you lost what you were saying, or couldn’t think of words to use. You knew exactly what you wanted to say & it came across SO natural. They should hire you Full Time to be honest. This was absolutely the best presented in my opinion!
@@TheLuxuryHomeShow Hope you have her on here again. As I mentioned in my comment on here. This is absolutely thee best presented property I’ve seen on here thus far. I’ve been subbed since 20k ish followers & watched for a long time. I remember mentioning a long time ago about how I’d love more details about the textures, fittings, the details about the property, the type of textures being used, the names of woods/appliances/the little details about the name of the marble, all of those little things really bring the quality of the content up. And whether Amy was reading from a script or done her own research, she was able to present it in SUCH a natural way. There was no long awkward pauses inbetween describing something, or at the end of a sentence when trying to finish explaining something, which can sometimes make for uncomfortable viewing. However Amy was so natural, she sounded as if she knew exactly what she wanted to say, the way she wanted to describe it & she never had any of those awkward presenter pauses! She was just seamless to be honest! Must be especially harder as she didn’t have anyone to bounce off of behind the camera like Matt/Summer & Jaz/Tom… which made this even more insane for presenting since she described every thing perfectly and really the only way I can describe it as just non awkward! I know it must be hard presenting sometimes & this isn’t getting on at anyone else but I just enjoyed watching this & listening to the information. I find sometimes when others are presenting they use the word “like” a lot between what they are saying as they find it hard to describe, and it makes for uncomfortable viewing as you are watching & willing them yourself to finish the sentence, which is not what you want as a consumer watching. Thanks for having Amy as a breath of fresh air 💕
Well you’re a bit stuck if you don’t like marble sometimes I do wonder just because you’ve got the money to do these things doesn’t mean you should money doesn’t always buy taste nicely presented though well done Amy
Why is everything so dark? With the lack of light in the UK and this house not having that much natural light, all of the dark marble is just making your life dark and miserable. Never understood living areas and dark colours…
Why do they always redo these historical homes with ultra modern interiors?? They get rid of all the historical character when they do that. When the front door was opened and I saw the grand entrance the first word that popped into my head was mausoleum. That’s what it reminded me of. Also you’d think in a place of this size they’d have a proper chefs kitchen but it’s this tiny thing compared to the rest of the place. I do like the stained glass windows though but on the whole I’m very unimpressed with the decor. Definitely not worth the price that is being asked when one of any taste would have to redo the entire interior. Can’t argue with the location though. I have friends who live in a 3000 sq foot place in Knightsbridge and they love the area.
Why do they keep stripping these London Townhouses of their period features. Everything nowadays is ultra modern to the point of tacky! Great Tour by Amy though.

What a fantastic jaw-dropping home, I honestly sat here with my mouth open, Amy was so professional, and knew all about the design so well, and was nicely dressed for the area, made a change from seeing belly buttons and Pj's, wonderful thank you
It's definitely jaw droppingly luxurious and unique...amazing location...London is finally getting NYC pricing, which is a shame but inevitable. Great video and great presentation...well done!
Overpriced, £25M or £5,600/sq ft and leasehold only? Meanwhile there's a £35M or £2,900/sq ft detached corner building Mansion in the same cadogan square with indoor swimming pool, roof terrace and double garage. Which one would you prefer?
Great tour 1st love the Interior design the Entrance is Amazing same with the kitchen and the bathrooms with the rich marble tones, at 1st thought it was a house by the price point but again location etc the great design, like the common gardens and available tennis court!! And great having AMY do the tour, she is really amazing saw her do the two Mallorca properties, and she does an outstanding job!!
people that can afford this house probably also the kind of people who don't want to be forced to live in previous owner's interior preference. they're going to remodeled the whole house to their own taste. they won't pay 25 mil for this house because of the expensive interior that they're gonna demolish anyway. that's why most people would bargain 20% less than the asking price.
i know this has been rebranded as the "luxury" home show but would be awesome if there was a series dedicated towards first time buyers. Low-ish costing properties for people who want to get on their feet on the ladder.
I think M&S sold their UA-cam channel for a good amount of cash. Promoting and advertising (exclusive, expensive, luxurious ) properties is more profitable than advertising cheap properties .
No No No! great to know that someone with a shedload of cash will be tempted to part with it! Ratepayers win, taxpayers win - we all win! We need hundreds of thousands of homes at these prices and use our profits to fund low cost housing. - ask the present Chancellor!
@@sebwarren9892 Hi Seb, we haven’t sold the channel it‘s still ours we have re branded from Matt & Summer to The Luxury Home Show as we thought that was fitting now we have some more wonderful presenters on our team :)
@@garethwilliams976 as if 😂🙄 I think Matt and summer would do more for this country showing low cost living as a series on their channel than this government will do for low cost housing! If they did a series starting in Scotland and working way down some major cities in the UK showing the prices of low cost housing & im talking anywhere from £100,00-£250,000 this would be a massive hit! Because to be honest…. Myself as a first time buyer will probably get offered £150,000 and in Scotland I could get a 3 bedroom property for that, semi detached, front and back garden with dining room & drive!
This is a beautiful property and I know Knightsbridge is a most desireable area---Is this property sold furnished? It a good size home and appointed beautifully---Kitchen is a bit on the small side---I think a touch over 27 million dollars is a bit pricey---Who knows?
For the price being asked, this property is incredibly 'portioned controlled'. Whilst there is some interesting use of marble, and some quite zany design (would not those stained glassed windows though eventually give the residents a headache with all their craziness), everything in this property is somewhat suffocating and over the top. London naturally is crowded, with small bedsits and small rooms everywhere, but at 25 million pounds to live half your existence underground in a little warren just to be in knightsbridge is simply ridiculous! No sensible person of wealth would even consider such a hobbit-like property! And those who consider this property and its design jaw dropping, must have the most elastic jaws possible. Or rather, permanently dislocated jaws! The presenter, whilst pleasant was pretty uninspiring, and like many around such companies like Sotheby's clearly doesn't have great vocabulary. Her spiel became very repetitive after a while, and uninteresting, and even she seemed to lack enthusiasm in what she was saying. So yes, a council like flat, with high end marble and automation, with a council flat sized kitchen, no garden, dreary views of the backs of buildings at the rear, and in the bedrooms, at best. Then the stillest most unmoving air in the world, where a fresh breeze would be like a Christmas Present, and a rather motley Cadogen Square communal garden. The designer has clearly just been silly, and overspent on this property. It just doesn't work for most people who are able to afford it. The design is simply the decorator's fantasy, and no other real person! And the owner is simply being silly too thinking that a sensible person will buy this for 25 million pounds. When what you can get for that sum in England is a beautiful and elegant world of your own, with your own tennis court, pool and lawns. And also bigger, better and both more elegant and more harmonious homes in so many other districts of London itself. This is mutton being dressed up as lamb.
This is like a billionaires London pad for when he's in London he can meet up with his mistresses there. All that artsy crap can't conceal the fact that the asking price is ridiculous for what you are getting . All that marble is a sure sign you are looking at a seriously overpriced apartment.
I know I'm late but what happened to Matt and Summer? I miss the old videos where they go through every nook and cranny of the house. Amazing property tho!
I actually much prefer this style personally with Matt and Summer allowing others to present and have a chance too! Amy is by far the best presenter on here imo! She was so informative, her presenting style just flowed from one to the next, she knew exactly what she was saying & exactly what she was describing she didn’t get lost in a sentence or have any awkward lulls which I’ve found with other people presenting! She was exceptional! I think it’s great what Matt and Summer are doing allowing aspiring presenters/real estate agents/estate agents to have an experience at presenting on a huge UA-cam channel! She was the absolute best!
This is a perfect example of "money can't buy you class". Marble overdose. Another beautiful old building with over renovated apartments, no feeling for character and history. People like this should just buy in new developments...
I went to Dunelm and McDonalds on the weekend, I couldn't get a parking spot in Dunelm it was so packed with multiple trolleys rolling out the door and McDonalds was so full it had run out of Big Macs with 5 Deliveroo drives waiting and queues out the door, not sure where the cost of living crisis is here and I live in Wales
Overal a good video tour by Amy, although if mat and summer are not going to present as much or giving the reigns over too others then its a shame. As for the house well not for my taste to much marble everywhere creating dark and dinghy areas and not liking the over the top whacky stained glassed windows either which spoiled an other wise well designed arty themed house. Renting the ground floor out would be savvy.
It's like a cemetery chappel...all that marble reminds me that most rich people have no taste, and most of those who work for rich people must be visually impaired
Tacky, tacky, tacky. They completely ruined the period interiors with modern gray, white and more gray and white. Not worth 25 million pounds. Not by a mile.
I know the area well however 25m for a property with no off street parking, miniscule garden and kitchen not to mention no indoor swimming pool is a no from me!
I’d far far rather take a suite or two at the Ritz , overlooking Green Park, when I need to be in London, and spend the rest on a wonderful place in the country. Somebody must love places like this, with no view and zero personality, but it isn’t me. Good luck to them though.
To think this price is just for an apartment imagine how much a full house would cost here, if they haven't already made them into flats. And yeahh that kitchen would be ok for warming ready meals but no work services to use. I'll keep my cash and buy just outside London.😃
To me, Cadogan Square and Mount St Gardens are the prettiest locations in London. But this interior is tacky... Doesn't compliment the exquisite facades outside.
25M? Surely a misprint or is April 1st come round early/ What you get id a rather poky dark flat with a tiny living room, a really tiny kitchen and no lift or garage! Advice to potential buyers - spend half as much in Richmond or Henley and a couple of million doing it to taste and see what you get. Spend a million or less on a Bentley and have a live in chauffeur which the difference in rates will cover. You will be near great pubs, great river views, a huge harden and fresh air as well! Unless the daily commute to Harvey Nicks is an essential part of your life you can do so much better. As for the decor - well money can't buy taste as Rolls- royce currently prove. Would I like to own it? Yes Yes Yess! It would be on the market within the day though.

When I think of this price it does not shock me. In the ‘scheme’ if things this is peanuts It’s all very contemporary and top quality in every way but it feels ‘cold’ If you can afford this then you won’t be using the kitchen, you will be eating out every night in restaurants that still have 12 months waiting lists 🤩🤩🤩🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴
It screams 'look at how much money I spent on this' and yet to me it is soull-less & tacky ! Nothing warm or inviting anywhere in that place. You could halve the price & it still would be soul-less & uninviting !
Like the drawing room, dining room, but once again the kitchen is so small looks pretty basic. Very disappointed with the kitchen design/layout. They could have taken out the snug and made the Kitchen bigger into that area. The bedroom's are also pretty basic again, I do like the colour(black) contrast though with the bathroom. I would say the price is made up of 70% location and 30% the cost of the marble!
It's a decent modern modest apartment with few windows in dense old buildings and for a bizarre price. It should cost a million pounds. The gentrification just means that ultra wealthy people live like poor people.... It's not smart.

Its small but does look quite nice
Not quite council sized , but definitely has a really small work surface

Excellent appraisal of a ghastly overpriced London property.
What a fantastic residence !!!!
Just before the video, there was an advert for coping with the cost of living crisis. UA-cam irony.
Well presented 👍👍👍
Love love
Absolutely stunning!!!!! The house ain't bad either :)
Nice, but odd location for dryer and washing machine 😮. Third bedroom is effectively a laundry room!
Fabulous property
Beautiful house
This would never be someone’s first home, imagine spending 25 million on a house with no pool, gym or garden. Ridiculous.
Vampires have no need for a pool, gym, garden or natural light. Looks like if you make a mess, you can just hose everything down. Bespoke mausoleum.
That is absolutely stunning. Imagine what you could get for 25 million in Surrey.
Tacky, tacky, tacky. They completely ruined the period interiors with modern gray, white and more gray and white. Not worth 25 million pounds. Not by a mile.
A beautiful home in a beautiful city presented by a beautiful young woman. Thank you from Toronto, Canada.
TNX GOOD brother
I know the area well however 25m for a property with no off street parking, miniscule garden and kitchen not to mention no indoor swimming pool is a no from me!
It's way out of my reach, but it's great to watch. Nice production.
I always see these beautiful exteriors then i feel like i was catfished as soon as you walk in
I’d far far rather take a suite or two at the Ritz , overlooking Green Park, when I need to be in London, and spend the rest on a wonderful place in the country. Somebody must love places like this, with no view and zero personality, but it isn’t me. Good luck to them though.
The marble work is insane
To think this price is just for an apartment imagine how much a full house would cost here, if they haven't already made them into flats. And yeahh that kitchen would be ok for warming ready meals but no work services to use. I'll keep my cash and buy just outside London.😃
Too dark, and cold looking , too much marble making it look like a mausoleum
Pricing is insane across the pond
DEAR LUXURY HOME SHOW,
GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIENDS. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE AND THE BEST AND HAPPIEST 2022 OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. I LOVE THE FOUR SEASONS IN LONDON. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO ENGLAND. I LOVE SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL REALTY. 🙏
SINCERELY PETER
what's costing £25 million here?
When I think of this price it does not shock me. In the ‘scheme’ if things this is peanuts
It’s all very contemporary and top quality in every way but it feels ‘cold’
If you can afford this then you won’t be using the kitchen, you will be eating out every night in restaurants that still have 12 months waiting lists
🤩🤩🤩🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴
Who made the smart home automation system?
Smart lighting system by Lutron, Bang & Olufsen ceiling speakers!
Excellent commentary.
Not one bit of this is impressive at all. £25m, imagine what that could get you in Cornwall overlooking the ocean
Nice tour. I've never heard anyone pronounce Cadogan Square like this before!
That is how the family pronounce it - and the Aristocracy. It's a way to immediately identify people as outsiders.
3:08 no, it doesn't
I love the interiors .
It screams 'look at how much money I spent on this' and yet to me it is soull-less & tacky ! Nothing warm or inviting anywhere in that place. You could halve the price & it still would be soul-less & uninviting !
It's a real shame because that building is a beautiful old Victorian with a lot of character outside.
25 mil for that you must be dreaming good presentation tho
Like the drawing room, dining room, but once again the kitchen is so small looks pretty basic. Very disappointed with the kitchen design/layout. They could have taken out the snug and made the Kitchen bigger into that area. The bedroom's are also pretty basic again, I do like the colour(black) contrast though with the bathroom.
I would say the price is made up of 70% location and 30% the cost of the marble!
yet another gorgeous property ruined. modern design should be reserved for modern buildings.....
the marble ruins everything.
Does the host have a channel or Instagram account?
@opendoorswithamy :)
@@opendoorswithamy thank you for that!
25 million for a bag of marble. I have seen better houses on a council estate.
The communal gardens looks disappointing. It needs sprucing up badly.
Would love to know what they spent on all the marble
I bet it's alot less than you would think.
They all this artsy crap to make you think you are getting your money's worth.LOL
They have all this artsy crap to make you think you are getting your money's worth.LOL
The most spectacular finishes and marble on the raised ground floor..sadly diminished by the lower ground floor..Superb..but at half the price..
As nice as it is I can think of a load of things I could spend £25 million on , just goes to show that some people have more money than sense .
No thanks
It's a decent modern modest apartment with few windows in dense old buildings and for a bizarre price. It should cost a million pounds. The gentrification just means that ultra wealthy people live like poor people.... It's not smart.
The kitchen's tiny, as is the fridge/freezer which would last a family about 2 days.
Nice but it not worth the price tag.🤷🏻♂️
The design is a mush mash, but when you buy such a property you bring in your designer😊
I'd want an olympic sized swimming pool in the back yard for that price!
Don't forget the hot tub for entertaining all the gold diggers.LOL
