Actually I have a guide for the Linksys WRT1900AC with OpenWrt 21, which is similar to OpenWrt 22/23. You can check out the video here ua-cam.com/video/phkptBdGScY/v-deo.htmlsi=pZEP5hioB3GRJJe-
@@Puretea4711 ... just to connect an USB drive doesnt replace the convenience of dropbox or something similar. Is there a software for iphone or android to upload for example fotos and videos easy to this storage just by "opening" the app?
Ntfs on Linux is usually slow A good alternative would have been to use extfat or fat32 Those two are also natively supported by windows, so you would have been able to prepopulate files from the pc before sharing with the router This router is great 😊
I’ve just bought Flint 2. This is awesome router but I don’t want to use Chinese software. Can you make an video to instruct people change from OEM uboot and firmware to native Openwrt Uboot and Firmware. I didn’t see any video about this topic. I think many people same to me.
Wrong on WiFi 7 and the ports .. this router delivers a lot of value at it current price point 😂 .. 7 and 2.5gbe on every port isn't necessary for that is for.
Yup, this is pretty fast. It is almost the same with the result on the NanoPi R6C, where the M.2 NVMe SSD is connected to the SBC via the M.2 PCIe port. ua-cam.com/video/LwCyzIiexfs/v-deo.htmlsi=_DJw3iud2-l9ghtM
@@VanTechCorner I have a asus Axe16000 router, I was thinking of upgrading to the Nanopi R6S as main router and use the asus as a access point. Do you this configuration would work? My reasons is to mitigate bufferbloat on a 1000 GB symmetrical internet. Any advice would be helpful, any thoughts.
My favorite network specialist and youtuber 😉
Thank you for you continuous support!
Using USB 3.0 will cause strong interference on 2.4 WiFi, it becomes unusable unless you’re close enough to the router
It work with remote access or it can access the drive anywhere in the world?
Could you do a setup tutorial with multi wan with a pure openwrt install?

Can you make also tut on how to install vanilla openwrt on gl-inet routers.ty
Is there a chance I can use this router with a connected ssd to use it as a dropbox alternative?

How would the performance be if cryptsetup (luks2) would be used on top of ext4?

Not see any different with ntfs and ext4 on router. But any way use ex4 just in case.
ExFat does NOT work properly with the USB port on this router.
@@_Tualatin_ ext4 is faster on router
How do you access this over the internet ?
What and why is the Internet? 🤔
yes
I have formatted my drive to ext4, but speed is the same - about 100 MB/s. I guess it is limited by my 1Gbit network.

you can just flash openwrt
Good router, but the price for it (no wifi7, no 2.5gbe on all ports, etc) kind of ruins it.

That's not bad for a router!

Usb 3.0 ssd is good but! It need to be test with work wifi 2.4. And see how its work both. 🤔
Hey, you can find the WiFi throughput test of the Flint 2 on my channel. There are 3 videos related to that.
The openwrt version is too old and already EOL..
This firmware is based on OpenWrt 21, but it was maintained by GL-iNet team :)
