Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is passionfruit and mango with grainy malt and citrus. The flavour is moderate, light sweet, with a smooth, malt, juicy tropical fruits, mango, passionfruit, light sugary sweet, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation, alcohol worms your throat. Decent.
Good review Simon! I love my IPA's in this ABV range 7%+ but this for me isn't full bodied enough but then I guess it's not trying to be. Reminds me of a tiny rebel beer. Be nice on a summers day over the bbq, I prefer double Hazy Jane, Heathen or my favourite Vocation toucan tropic, a bit more oaty... all personal preference of course!
Cheers Simon, glad you like this one. I have a can in my fridge so hoping I enjoy it too. There's a pub down the road from me which serves terrible lagers and they don't look after their lines so most of the beer tastes horrendous. However they've recently started serving Wingman through clean lines and it tastes real good. Had it a fair few times over the summer and it never disappointed cheers 🍻
I’m a whisky drinker and love peated whisky and the same principal applies, sometimes you have to give your tastebuds a break before you go back to them!
Had my first can of normal Wingman on a flight out to Crete this summer and tasted really nice, then tried it again once back on the ground in the UK and was awful, maybe it's been brewed for drinking at altitude, hence the name wingman😊
It is good to see a decent Brewdog beer, there is slight frustration, with the knowlege they can still brew well, but sometimes choose not to in the name of maximum profit..
Some of their nano beers are up there with the best. They can do it but like you say........profit. Punk, Arcade Made, Mr President, Black Heart and Lost are all solid.
Simon !! I love u and your channel but you have had a break from these ! I never touch brew dog any more but off the back of this I got it …. It was shocking from aroma to pallet so artificial (my opinion ) keep doing what you do love the channel and I’ll continue is to watch every vid 😂
As others have said, I've had 2 pretty different experiences with regular Wingman. I had some in Autumn '23 and it was surprisingly good. Had it again in Summer '24 and it was pretty bland. Brewdog constantly mess with their beers I reckon to cut costs.
They do a few really good beers, but unfortunately most of them are either online only or directly from the bars only, i can still enjoy a punk and a hazy. Never thought id see the day of you liking a brewdog beer again 😂
I quite liked Wingman but this is typical Brewdog rubbish full of 'flavourings'. I don't want 'flavourings' in my beer, that's what malt and hops are for.
The name 'Wingman' makes sense for a session beer, e.g. the less drunk you are, the better a wingman you can be for your friends, not so sure the name works as well on a 7.2% ABV :D
Mate I’ve just been to the states and I’ve bought a load of craft beer with you in mind. Can you help me out and let me know how I can post it to you? I’ve messaged you on Instagram

Definitely the best Brewdog beer I've had in ages. So juicy and hoppy. Definitely on my regular list now.

brought a tall pilsner glass from the range and several octoberfest beers from our aldi yesterday.. thanks for heads up on that, lovely beers👍
Good, balanced review!
so good simons voice breaks 🤣🤣
Not doubting the addition of flavourings but how common is grapefruit ice cream, never heard of it myself ? 🤷♂️
sorbet, possibly.

What you said about supporters of early Brewdog reminds me of The Who’s lyric on the song 5-15. “Sadly ecstatic that their heroes are news”
Out of his brain on the Brewdog train five fifteen 😂

Hi , what do you think of Heineken on Blade ? love your Channel keep up the good work🎉
Loads of reviews on it. Look it up
The weirdest part of this story is grapefruit ice cream concentrate exists. I just want to try grapefruit ice cream now.....
Double IPA should be minimum 8% abv in my book
Came for stone the crows. Left Disappointed 🤣🤣
Hi Simon , seen the new speckled hen beer ? Is a session 3.4% abv ?
And Fullers have a 3.4% Golden Ales.
What happened to this channel? Used to always pop up on my UA-cam and he always did lives. Other beer channels appear more now which is a shame
Most of Brewdog is a bit rubbish to me but I must admit Arcade made is one I enjoy.
Mr President is decent too if Arcade Made does it for you.
Despite the BD haters wishing otherwise and the size they are now, the objective fact is Brewdog still brew some decent beers.
What decent beers are those?
@@NickL5980 Exactly
@@NickL5980 Elvis Juice is decent for what it is. Arcade Made is also solid.
@@WillyJunior Elvis juice is solid. So is double hazy, what used to be hazy Jane originally. That’s it for me.
@@NickL5980 just because you don't like something doesn't mean it isn't a good product

Totally agree.
Amen to that, brother!
YOu are very critic with Brewdog. That brewery make good beer!

Manky, cheap squash, some bittering but pish
I didn't like it. Too floral
Brewdog totally changed from brilliant to mediocre.
They put profit over brewing great beer.
It's a shame what they did to Punk IPA. It used to be fantastic, now it's more like a hoppy lager.
@@WillyJunior agree, the original Punk was superb.
I don't why you review any Brewdog beers , just a macro brewed rubbish, stick to regional independent breweries
It is a regional independent brewery, just a very big one 😂
Thougt it was an average artificially flavoured ipa tbh standard brewdog nowadays nothing stand out about it
