- In this tutorial, I will show you step by step how to make a (super cool and funky) UA-cam Intro from scratch, using Canva. What are you using to film yourself? I love how you are etched out in your tutorials
We use QuickTime Player and OBS to film, then Premiere Pro to edit.
Thank you for sharing how to do this! The length of the intro you created allowed you to show us several ways to add things onto the timeline, but any recommendations on the intro length? 10 seconds is an eternity after I've seen a YTer's intro a few times.

You can import it in Canva via the “Uploads” button and then use the “Animate” button for basic animations.
Can you change colors used for animations?
Great videos, I'm learning a lot! Apologies for the really basic question, but how do you record what you're doing on the screen, including seeing your mouse and the mouse click highlights? Is this done in Canva or with some other setup? Do you have a tutorial about that, especially if it can be done within Canva? Thanks!

ok this is great tutorial. heres my issue. canva outputs at 30fps default. all my youtube content is at 60fps. I dont have a big money editor like premier pro etc. i just use avidemux to append clips together, but when i try to do that with the intro i keep getting errors about codecs not matching and something about timestamps? etc. ive tried interpolating it to 60 in a couple programs but still get the same issue. not sure how i can get around this so i can use the intro i spent hours making. driving me nuts.

I’d recommend you try another video editor like iMovie or other free ones.
When connected UA-cam channel with canva, then canva have access to your channel and can see your earnings, etc?
No, I don't think they can access that type of information.
how do get your animations to make sound when they pop up? like the bubbles or swish
We add these sound FXs in post-production. Our editors use Premiere Pro to edit our videos.

Thank you for tutorial. I used music from canva for an intro but there was a copyright claim on it. What can we do or does this apply to specific music? Thos is the second time it has happened. I just opted for music to be muted as it uploaded. Thanks for the awesome quality trainings !
Normally if you are a Canva Pro user and connect your Canva account to your UA-cam account, you shouldn’t receive copyright claims. If you do, you can follow the steps to let UA-cam know you have the right to use the audio because you are a Canva Pro user.

No, we use music a producer friend made. His name is Kia Orion, you can find him on UA-cam.
I love making intros and outros. But most of the UA-cam educators say that intros make the first 30 seconds views drop significantly.
We decided to show you how it’s done because we received a lot of requests for this tutorial. But you are right, I would really try to keep my intros (very) short for UA-cam 👍
I have Canva Pro and I do not see some of the selections for the text animation. When I go from one frame to the next it is not keeping my text in place - so it appears to jump from frame to frame. Would love some more help on this….
Hi! Double check that your text do not have any animation applied.

This tutorial was posted in June 2022 and the Video tab is now inside the Elements tab. Canva needs to update the content for videos because when you search for something, they give you irrelevant results. Can you help me with this? Thank you.
Hi GY, I think this is happening because Canva added new animations to the library which makes it difficult to find them again but I created a template so you can access the files I showed in the video. yes, why not!
If you forgot to position your guide to 0:00 and mistakenly inserted an audio track, you don't really need to delete the audio. You can actually reposition the placement of the audio track simply by dragging it to 0:00. :)

No, you should be fine, as long as you connect your UA-cam account to Canva.
