Being a 60`s scoop native my owner a teacher made me listen to this song being the only one and my adopted brother a sosiopath would sing and tease and the stories I was told about my people this woman whose husband wanted children so ad I think he used the native foster system $$$ to get her to take me and a 5lb baby he convinced her then got his son a lond sister they sent back and I was out of that sick home by 12 I endded up marrying the son of a world leader who dined with the queen I`d ask what they ate I wonder if he ate the things that she did like Oct 10 64 at Kamloops were William Coombs charged her for the smart group that her & her husband ate for there picnic, Songs like this and people like the one who taught are the reaso the wotld is like it is, her husand & son both dead at 46 and all the animals I cared for while he was dieing she put then down too and 1 suffered so bad,

Just to bring up the Elephant (Indian) in the room. Albeit that they were a great showband, who thought this was a good idea. Yes I know, it was forty odd years ago when they took on that name, but this show was 1992 and the whole "Indian" thing, especially the costumes is cringey as hell, and a whole lot of disrespectful. This video uploaded only 10 years ago! Come on guys, you know better than that.
Not to mention this isn't even their song this is a Rex Allen song they just simply covered it Rex Allen was born in 1920 in Cochise County I literally live in his hometown
