Dear K.K.Sir, Is Lattice Girders are suitable for support system in Hard Rock like Tunneling in Western Ghats, Deccan Trap and in Basalt Rock.

If rock is of class -2 ,3,4 then lattice girder is suitable for support system. But selection of Lattice Girder should be choosen accordingly from the table shown with this video.

If rock is class --1 & self supported then neither steel support is required nor Lattice Girder is required , but this will be decided by Geologist or by geophysical Engineer.
