I was so backslidden. Yet when I wanted out of that lifestyle and the abusive relationship that led to it, Jesus saved my life with a miracle. He totally shielded me from a big pan of hot grease being dumped on me by that angry man. It should have hit me from the waist down, but not one drop touched me.

This song is really close to my heart. I was an atheist, I hated anything to do with church, I did drugs and was just all around stupid. Everytime I listen to CC I'm reminded that every soul can be saved, even people like I was. Jesus didn't come to stand among the saints, but to walk among and heal the sinners. I'm so happy I realized that and have become one of his people.

Amen, I am really struggling with this one myself. I think we forget what we've been forgiven of and we get full of pride and we think we are better than others, when the truth is we are all "sinners" until Jesus' love transforms us.

Thanks for sharing. I'm a retired Deputy Sheriff & witnessed to anyone who would listen. Not many unfortunately, but it is always encouraging to have someone walk up & say, "Thank you for what you told me. I'm born again now." Often it's years later & they have a wife & kids in tow. My heart always melts of course. Glory to God ! I Praise Him for using me even just a little bit.
I've seen videos of street preachers condemning sinners and this is exactly what I needed to hear! My fellow Christians let us stop passing judgement on people and start showing them the True Love of God let us be patient, graceful and loving towards them then I believe that is what demonstrates Christs love toward this fallen world! One cannot be lead to Christ through Hatred and Condemnation. These preachers have the right idea, but the wrong heart. We are to judge righteously, not judge in hatred. Even the Bible says "To take a spec out of your brother's eye, first take the log out of your eye."

+Laura Rangel Every time you ask forgiveness and turn from your sin, God sends that sin farther away than even he can reach. The moment you ask forgiveness it is forgiven. The only one who keeps record of your sins in spades is the Devil himself, I've dealt with that guilt before.

I think as just being natural people, we want to go through struggles, battles, addictions on our OWN and try to make plans to help OURSELVES get through whatever situation there ought to be. I know for one that I have been in that boat but I think something that God has put on my heart recently is just simply, the heart. The word grace is something that I have been more interested in too, like the past couple days and to tell you the truth I haven't really understood it fully. But God has reminded me that he died for you and me not because of anything we have done, but what HE has done for us. For his grace and mercy is what saves us. So to top this off I think it's important to take the fix off ourselves and put it on HIM.

Actually The Bible does say that God hates sin and those who do sin (example, Psalm 5:5) but he loved us enough that he sent Christ to die for that sin. Those who've been saved in Jesus' name are looked upon as though they never sinned, but those who haven't accepted the sacrifice of Christ are still under that wrath.
If only more Christians remembered this. But instead, most Christians prefer to spend their time attacking those they are to save. In the Bible, Jesus ate dinner with the ones who were sinners, and condemned the righteous men who wanted to trample all over them. Even nowadays there are many examples of this. Look at Westboro, attacking EVERYONE from gays to musicians and their audiences to funerals. If Jesus came to earth today, I am willing to bet that rather than attacking them, He would eat with them. Christians are beginning to look more and more like the Pharisees and Sadducees. So, please, ask yourself this: Am I representing Christ, or a Pharisee?

I just have to say I am like totally in LOVE with Mark Hall's voice, I dont think I have ever heard a better male singer other than my other VERY favourite Christian group THIRD DAY'S Mac Powell, who Im actually in love with. And Im talking about all singers ever, not just Christian. This guy has true talent and something special a true gift, and also obviously the band is pretty great. But he has a truly remarkable singing voice, lovely man too of course and awesome songs but Im just so taken with what a marvellous singer, both he and Mac Powell rock my world. Mercy Me is the other in.my top 3 as far as great Christian music, a lot of good UPLIFTING message type songs. Mac is good on the love of God and praise, Casting Crowns has a good mix of just about everything Christian, and their melancholy but inspirational in particular resonates with me, but just so many good songs, I never tire of them, I do have my favourites but basically most are pretty good

Friend of sinners but not sinners who denied their guilt, such as the Pharisees whom he called a brood of vipers. Only those who repent are his friends. Only those who do his will.
Sin is the thing that blocks of our relationship with God, before sin we could have fellowship with Jesus but when sin was introduced it blocked of our relationship. If you deny your sins then there is no way you can repent and have fellowship with Jesus once again. He is friends with everyone it's sin that allows people to stray farther from his light. Jesus wants the best for you.

Many times in our lives have we faced hardships, and many times have we fallen into sorrow and despair that in our desperate need to find happiness, we cling to secular desires like riches and entertainment. But while we cling to those desires, we seem to forget the Lord little by little, and if not, we forget to pray to him.
Although we continue to live out our lives, the Lord is always there with us, watching us where we are. He is a friend to us all, to us sinners, and like an old friend that we haven’t talked to for a long time, he yearns for us to turn to him and talk to him again.
Will we wait for another day without praying to him? Will we keep our old friend waiting?
Please, if you have any time in your hands, talk to him in prayer, for wherever you go and wherever you are he’s always there waiting for you. Whatever you want to talk about if you are alone, you can talk to him, for he’s always listening.

since so many r disposed to quoting scripture, here is one that many of u seem to have forgotten Luke:6:37. before u decide to judge others consider that verse. even Soddom and Gomorrah's citizens were given ample chance to change. and they were judged by God not by a mere men. you cant use wutever scripture suits ur attacking purposes and forget the rest. that is wut drives nonbelievers away from the church. God didnt hate sinners. He hated the sins they committed. if He didnt hate them what right does anyone who claims to believe in Him have to hate people? The Bible is a book of love and guidance it wasn't made so people could judge others. it is for YOU to live YOUR life by and to spread the message of God's love.

this tells me that if Jesus who was and is part of God would not judge and condemn this woman here on earth then we have no right to do so. i know fullwell i am not sinless and with all due respect i highly doubt you are either. it is our place to MINISTER and spread God's word AND love. God's word and story isnt what wins hearts and souls my friend. Gods love is what makes people look from afar and say "i want some of what they have" His peace annd tranquility in the storms of life bring far more sheep to his loving fold then fire and brimstone condemnation and judgement.
and there is a difference between ministering and judging. it is not our place to say to people that they are bad people who are going to hell. it is our place to explain WHAT they are doing wrong and WHY it is wrong in God's eyes. but most important of all its OUR place to show them the peace, love and compassion that God's existence in our lives brings. if they dont see anything good then why would they wish to be with Jesus at all?
there are a great many more verses clearly stating not to judge for by the same standard you judge them so shall God judge you on His throne. to me the abundance of times in the New Testament that we are told not to judge others is so that we will not forget this. it is not our place to sit and say this person or that person, this type or that type should not be allowed in a church yet i have seen it done at nearly every church ive attended. THAT is judgement. deciding someones worth based on their actions is judgement. welcoming someone even tho they may be sinful into God's house and teaching them about the Bible. THAT is ministering. too often we cross the fine line between the 2 and only lose those who we could have saved.
consider this when next you see a drunkard coming to church and you inwardly feel he shouldnt be there for this too is judgement even when not spoken. God's house isnt just for the sinless and perfect, the forgiven and annointed. its for the drunkards, adulterers, sinners of all sorts. Mary Magdelene was a whore when she met Jesus yet sat by Christs side many times after. people will not change if u stone them with their sins. but with God's guidance and gentle teaching even the worst of people can change.
