People say Kane Hodder's Jason was the best but my favorite guy who done it was Richard Brooker... Richard was the first Jason actor to dawn the hockey mask in Friday The 13th part 3...
@Darth Saban Now Ted White l would have to say was my second favorite Jason.. I remember watching a Ted White interview where Ted stated that he wanted his version of Jason to be more quick in his movement and not as clunky... Ted White brought his own uniqueness to the Jason character...
@@royford7333 Richard had the right moves indeed, he had that 6'4 hight and the buff out build to the Jason character that made him the iconic villan he is today...
@Darth Saban Indeed bro... And l forgot to mention the badass scene of all the Jason scenes that was played by Ted White when Jason busted through the front living room door to throw that hammer at Trish Jarvis barely missing her head in part 4 final chapter... Revisit that clip if you forgot that scene, it's the best... Second badass scene is played by Richard Brooker when Jason gets hung in the barn and Christina Higgans opens the barn and Jason re-animates... Christina Higgans: "No, you can't be alive, oh no it's you"...
Ted White was my 2nd favorite, the issue I have with Kane hodders portrayal of Jason is he kinda moved more like a weight lifter, chest poked out, arms raised by his side, just didn’t capture the essence of the killer like Richard and Ted
I personally would have liked to see an official Jason vs Michael movie and maybe have Michael’s sister Judith being one of kids responsible for Jason being drowned in the lake. Maybe they could expand on that and have Pamela Voorhees to be an initial suspect of Judith’s murder before they found out Michael was.
Thank you Matt!! This is so fascinating, Jason X now seems like a decent film. It’s incredible to learn about these hidden proposals and better that they didn’t happen. They really milked this franchise!! Although, the Cheech & Chong crossover I do wish they made. Keep making videos!!
@@MattDraper the Part 13 scritp seems more inline with found footage than 3D Since 3D took place in the 80's, and a big part of Part13 was about Jason being killed by some teens with a Cammera
That makes a lot more sense. I remember a kid in 3rd grade (91') talking about the potential movie idea / plot. I had no clue how close it actually came back then.
9:52 A time travel plot where they go back in time and the search warrant for Freddy's house actually gets signed and he's arrested was used in the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comic book.
Oh my god. Thank god a lot of these movies didn’t get to see the light of day. Why were they so weird when writing the Freddy vs Jason crossover? Its a dumb concept inherently. The devils assassins idea wasn’t too bad though. I’m especially grateful that Cheech and Chong movie didn’t happen. This was such a fun video, Matt. I didn’t want it to end!
Thanks, man! I had a lot of fun with this one. I knew about some of these already, but I was totally flabbergasted by a lot of them. This was wild to research.
There was also a script that dealt with Freddy & Jason bringing about the biblical armageddon, which took place in a Chicago inner-city apartment complex, and featured Freddy pissing in the holy grail.... Yes, for some reason, the literal chalice which was used to contain the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, was in CHICAGO... ;-) ////
My idea for a F13th movie: I always thought a connection between the movies and the TV series would've been establishing that one of the cursed items, from the shop, never recovered by the trio was - a hockey mask. Saying the cursed mask "absorbed" or was possessed by Jason's spirit even after his physical "death" would provide another mechanism for his returns. Maybe the cursed mask won't let Jason die? How it got to Pamela & Jason could make for an interesting story; or, since it's been speculated that Voorhies was just the name of Jason's step dad, maybe "uncle Lewis" was his real father? Making two of the TV characters Jason's cousins..
OK, I don't remember much about how & where he got the other mask(s?) from; but by the "logic" of some of these films, it would be that big a jump to propose another mask had its own backstory. Maybe the curse of the 1st one drew Jason to it. But sticking to my original scenario; theoretically by the time Jason changed masks, whatever cursed energy in the (1st) mask could've altered/cursed him. Making him an ongoing repository for such negative energy that subsequent masks ( or maybe even. some of his axes and machetes)? absorbed/downloaded the curse from him; able to transfer some of it it to others.Maybe there could a spinoff about someone cursed by one of Jason's early weapons, as opposed to a sequel. PS - As really crappy as my WiFi ( & UA-cam's incompatibility w/ my main device) has been of late, I hope your reply didn't actually take about a year to reach me. Hopefully you wrote recently 'cause you're feeling the season, So, Happy Hall🎃Ween.
@@ronn-ammon8975 I just replied recently dw! But the original mask was just Shelly’s hockey mask he’d use for scaring folks since he’s all about pranks.
I would love to see a Winter / Christmas version of Friday the 13th They could turn the KillKillKill ( ChChCh) Into Sleigh Bell sounds. At some point Jason has on a Santa Hat Obligatory kids waiting up for Santa, etc... Writes itself almost
Yea; Jason fighting street gangs would have been awesome. Imagine how ticked they'd be every time they "killed" him Jason got up again. This is what I thought would happen in Jason Takes Manhatten.
The only cool spot in Jason X was when he shattered that girl's face after freezing it in the sink of liquid nitrogen. I always thought that was a top 5 kill
Great video! The editing was on-point and it was very informative. Jason's like Godzilla. You can stick him in any situation and it'd be fun. Most of these would have been worth watching at least, even if the ideas weren't always that good. As for unmade Friday the 13th media I'd like to see, I always did wish the alternate ending for Part 6 wasn't cut. I like the idea of establishing Jason's dad. That's one part of his backstory the movies haven't touched and I've never been a huge fan of how outside media have handled it. I still have hope that if Tom McLoughlin's Jason Never Dies pitch ever actually becomes a movie, he'll bring back the cut ending in some form or another.
There is one sequel that you forgot to mention in this list. Luckily minty comedic arts. And that sequel was Jason versus Ash. Which was what Jason goes to hell was supposed to be originally, but they couldn’t decide whether or not they let ash live or let him die. And how he would die if they let him die
"Winter/frosty Jason" sounds like a solid idea. I'd pay to see that. I'd expect creative kills with icicles and snow shoves, a victim dressed out like a snowman. Perhaps even a hockey reference. *Oh, what could have been* .
I grew up with Friday series, was 6 years old when saw original then watched sequels as came out. I love Jason; but I grew tired of dumb plots they came up with . So I started writing my own script, which I did place in winter with an icicle kill for sure. I'm no writer, I'm a nobody I just wanted write something bring Jason back to character I loved watching. I haven't finished writing it's been long work in progress, I read your comment and wanted chime in.
Alright so I'm pretty satisfied with Fridays 1-7 as for part 8 the more fleshed out New York would be great (I still like part 8 though) part 9 I would have taken any other version aside from Jason passing the torch to his brother. Jason X is fine I can take it or leave it. For Freddy vs Jason I like the one where they battle in hell while other famous real killers watch. And now I am on board with the new Jason in the snow movie happening as a part 13 but I think they should at least acknowledge part 7 and 8 it wouldn't be hard to watch both the films and write some small explanation of Jason leaving Manhattan or just acknowledging they happened
That Part9 script was quite bad Jason's Brother Elias (The director said Elias was never meant to be the father untill very late in production) found Jason's dead body, stitched it with barbed wieres and fishing lines and transsfered his soul into Jason's body
Paramount was running on fumes with the series by 8 and didn't want want to give them the budget they needed to really make it special unfortunately. New Line Cinema had no idea what to do with the character they just wanted him for the Freddy vs. Jason tie-in and by the time they got him slashers were going out of style. It didn't help that they let Adam Marcus royally fuck everything up in 9. It's a miracle we got Freddy vs. Jason at all after a decade in development hell. I'd be down for them continuing the series from part 8 and just ignoring the weird New Line films as alternate reality from the Paramount canon even though part 8 would take some retconning to fix continuity problems.
I just read that bat-shit crazy Nightmare 13: Freddy Meets Jason script tonight, which was actually a pretty enjoyable read, if not a bit bonkers!! It's as crazy as things get!! You have a crazed, grizzled cop named Captain Renton Murdoch and a S.W.A.T. team hunting down armed Freddy Krueger cultists, who are all burned, disfigured and dress like Freddy, who are also trying to bring him into our world, so he can rule both the dream realm and the real world. And YES, there is a blood-soaked 'boxing match' in Hell, where our 2 horror icons beat the shit outta each other!! Look it up and check it out!! It's pretty easy to find and pretty goddamn fun!!
Part V is actually underrated. People just shit on it because "oh it's not Jason." You don't know it's not Jason until the very end. The rest of the movie is what slasher fans love. Creative, gruesome killings and breasts. People don't like being fooled is what it is.
Rumor my whole life has been that they were offically going to make 13 Friday the 13th movie and then call it a day. I'd like to see that rumor become reality.
Test that would be awesome and have side battles with the likes of nailhead Freddy maybe a cameo from some lesser known villians like maybe baby Firefly Otis driftwood or captain spaulding

LMFAO at Jason in the Hood, & Cheech & Chong meet Jason!!! I maintain that a new film that finally shows Elias Voorhees, is where i think the franchise, should go next.
Excellent video. Loved these films in my teens. Always just scary enough for me at that age. Sadly I don't think the slasher / teenage victim / random nudity trope can exist in today's world. Not that I need it to. The older I get, I'm fine with having the originals to fall back on. Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
The Most strange Facts i can find about the F13 Movies are these 2: 1. Apparently BILLY WILDER (Writer and Director of Double Indemnity and Sunset Boulevard) was willing to come out of retirement to do Part 5 but refused once he wouldn't get Final Cut. 2. in Early stages of Part 7 development, a new producer wanted FEDERICO FELLINI to do it, but the other producers went for someone cheaper. Imagine 2 Acclaimed directors taking the reins of a Franchise most critics hate, it would have killed the critics if it had happen.
All I know is we need a new Friday the 13th movie! Its been a long time since we saw Jason on screen and I think a release next year would be perfect to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original😎

I remember reading a few unused Freddy Vs Jason scripts one was in the dark ages another was what you mention. Before Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare the original script would be continued at the time it was just called Nightmare 6 and would have featured Alice and her son Jacob from Dream Child Alice is dying from cancer caused by her dream powers.Freddy kills Alice and Jacob ends up in foster care in which Freddy now free wrecks havoc at the foster care. Then the dream cops show up from the dream warriors. And of course Freddy's Dead wasn't the last film as Wes Craven New Nightmare was released in 94 and being meta film which is precursor to Scream.I love all the Friday The 13Th films I love all A Nightmare On Elm Street films I wasn't a fan of horror films 1994 is when I became a fan of horror thanks to John Carpenter Halloween it scared the crap out of me.Because of lawsuit other then fan films don't expect to see Jason slashing teens on the big screen any time soon.Wes Craven estate has retained the rights to A Nightmare on elm street as there is a law that most can take advantage of which is 35 years later you can retain the rights to your franchise.Stephen King has giving all studios an ultimatum if you do not make a movie in 2 years then you can not make it as the rights revert back to the original owner.

Now Ted White l would have to say was my second favorite Jason..
I remember watching a Ted White interview where Ted stated that he wanted his version of Jason to be more quick in his movement and not as clunky...
Ted White brought his own uniqueness to the Jason character...
@@royford7333
Richard had the right moves indeed, he had that 6'4 hight and the buff out build to the Jason character that made him the iconic villan he is today...
@Darth Saban
Indeed bro...
TIL: Cheech and Chong could have had a movie with Jason, now I'm sad we never got it!! Thanks Matt for the video!!
It would've been real weird but it would have been different!
this is frighteningly well made
I personally would have liked to see an official Jason vs Michael movie and maybe have Michael’s sister Judith being one of kids responsible for Jason being drowned in the lake.
Maybe they could expand on that and have Pamela Voorhees to be an initial suspect of Judith’s murder before they found out Michael was.
Well, they knew Michael killed her right away when they found him standing outside holding a bloody butcher knife.
Good job on the research and presentation! Jason is KING!
Jason X is much more than a decent film, it's a brilliant horror comedy
Thanks! Yeah Jason X isn't so bad in comparison. 2 more videos to come for Halloween!
Ok ok let's cool the jets a little here haha
I like that he includes NASCAR circuit like it's and old cliche. You know, your typical NASCAR slasher. Classic.
I love the James bond Jason opening! So corny! The names Jason, Jason vorhees!
There was also one that was going to be a found footage film.
Yeah, it's a little unclear but they were likely going to use the 3D script for the found footage film but it didn't go far.
@@MattDraper the Part 13 scritp seems more inline with found footage than 3D
Since 3D took place in the 80's, and a big part of Part13 was about Jason being killed by some teens with a Cammera
A good chunk of Never Hike Alone is like a found footage movie. It may not be official but...it should be.
Never hike alone is a good fan film
+ Mr. Sand that would’ve been so sick
At this point they should just make Friday the 13th: Part Infinity considering how many sequels this franchise has.
Snapper Reviews : Soon to be followed by Friday The 13th: Infinity Part 2 - The Real Final Chapter: No, Really, we mean it this time!
Eventually followed by Friday The 13th, Part 87: The Search For More Money...
I read your comment in Carl Wheezer's voice.
The devil's assassins actually sounds pretty awesome
There was also a script that dealt with Freddy & Jason bringing about the biblical armageddon, which took place in a Chicago inner-city apartment complex, and featured Freddy pissing in the holy grail.... Yes, for some reason, the literal chalice which was used to contain the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, was in CHICAGO...
;-)

Part 6 is also my favorite Friday the 13th movies. It is the that true Friday, before he went into space, toke over people's bodies, etc.
This channel needs more subs. I mean the narration, editing and writing is pretty good.
Well Jason replaces the mask in 8 so how would 2 masks be cursed
I really miss this franchise. I hope to see it come back. I'm not gonna rest until we get a 13th film. No matter what it is.
most of the proposed scripts for freddy vs jason sound alot more interesting than the final product we got
I would love to see a Winter / Christmas version of Friday the 13th
They could turn the KillKillKill ( ChChCh)
Into Sleigh Bell sounds.
At some point Jason has on a Santa Hat
Obligatory kids waiting up for Santa, etc...
Writes itself almost
Jason in the hood would've been way better then Jason in space...
Yea; Jason fighting street gangs would have been awesome. Imagine how ticked they'd be every time they "killed" him Jason got up again.
This is what I thought would happen in Jason Takes Manhatten.
@@lorettacompher7744 Jason Takes Manhattan was the biggest missed opportunity ever.
The only cool spot in Jason X was when he shattered that girl's face after freezing it in the sink of liquid nitrogen. I always thought that was a top 5 kill
Jason in space had potential for being a confined space you can’t escape, but instead it was syfy movie level silly/ fun
How have we still not gotten a new one?!?! It’s been over 10 years!
Look up never hike in the snow, its a short fan film on youtube
@Sebastian Harrison yeah, saw Never Hike in the Snow this past week. Solid entry. So cool it was a fan film!
Well done video. You earned your thumbs up sir!
That Part9 script was quite bad
Jason's Brother Elias (The director said Elias was never meant to be the father untill very late in production) found Jason's dead body, stitched it with barbed wieres and fishing lines and transsfered his soul into Jason's body
My favorite has got to be the remake.
It was smart, brutal, and knew exactly what it was.
The remake is also like the only movie in the entire series that actually had some real reverence for the material.
Thanks man, I didn't know about Jason vs Freddy vs Ash...I woulda watched that for sure...at least 3 times.
Part V is still my favorite for just how much of a pure exploitation film it is, I don't care that the killer isn't actually Jason in it.
Part V is actually underrated. People just shit on it because "oh it's not Jason." You don't know it's not Jason until the very end. The rest of the movie is what slasher fans love. Creative, gruesome killings and breasts. People don't like being fooled is what it is.
@@butchvitoNah, people just didn’t like the movie altogether because it was cheap and poorly made.
I personally never understood why Jason never went after Ginny after Part 2, since she actually knew one of his big weaknesses and how to exploit it.
I really love that FvsJ idea of a Freddy cult group trying to bring him to life and bringing back Tommy and Alice.
Excellent video loved it
There is an ample amount of time devoted to Fdubs v JDawg
*liked*
In all seriousness, awesome video!
See? I couldn’t ignore it!
A real missed opportunity here to use the "Jason" instrumental also by The Midnight for the outro here, lol. Great vid tho. :)
I wish to see Jason in Snow
We will in the Never Hike Alone sequel.
Excellent work
Rumor my whole life has been that they were offically going to make 13 Friday the 13th movie and then call it a day. I'd like to see that rumor become reality.
You know what I kinda like the idea of Jason and Freddy competing for souls to stay on earth
Am I the only one who so desperately wants to see a Jason Vorhees vs Michael Myers movie?
A reall movie not a fan film
Test that would be awesome and have side battles with the likes of nailhead Freddy maybe a cameo from some lesser known villians like maybe baby Firefly Otis driftwood or captain spaulding
Saw a fan film that looked kinda decent. If I remembered who made it I'd suggest maybe they be given a shot at the real thing.
@@ronn-ammon8975 there are several really good Jason vs Michael short films on utube.
Willie White : Thanx, I'll check some out. Hopefully I'll find the one I liked before.
9:00 “In a script by Brannon Braga and Ronald D. Moore-“
Me, a major 90s Star Trek fan: Say what?
No seriously, I had to pick my jaw up off the floor upon hearing that one of Trek’s best writing teams nearly did a F13 film. Honestly, it sounds like it could’ve been really interesting.
I would of loved to have seen Cheech and Chong meet Jason, and the first script draft of FVJ sounded pretty awesome
Jason will come back when you least expect it can’t believe next year there should be a movie out
I, personally, would have loved to see Jason flying over the cuckoo's nest. It couldn't be any worse than Cult of Chucky.
Nostalgia is a powerful thing.
i still really want to see freddy vs jason vs ash
The Most strange Facts i can find about the F13 Movies are these 2:
6 was my fav too!
All I know is we need a new Friday the 13th movie! Its been a long time since we saw Jason on screen and I think a release next year would be perfect to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original😎
I may have missed it in your video kinda zoned out but I remember talks of a found footage one
I want Jason in a school campus where one of the victims that survived the camps (Ik he does in Freddy vs Jason I just want a more in depth thing)
Let's see him sashay on down to Washington DC. Instead of bratty teenagers though, we're treated to a 90 minute gorefest of slaughtered power-hungry politicians and snooty and entitled lobbyists and lawyers.
If they don't call the 13th film
Friday the """13th""" I'm going to be disappointed.
It's a no brainer ain't it really,, lol..
They should just call it 13
Or “The 13th”
The 13th Friday.
@Doogie Carpit Burger 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“Paramount puff puff passed” Lmao
I'd like a whole video in the New York voice please!
Haha I think I would pass out if I did that!
3:23 that kick ass disco mix
Where can I hear the whole thing??? Please . 👍👍👍👌🏼👏🏼
This awesome video was definitely fascinating to watch ! i thought it was worthwhile viewing 😵🙈experience for the horror slasher 80/90s fanatics!
👍👍👍👍thanks for sharing this video 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😉✌🏼😈
Friday the 13th didn't need that many sequels. Elm Street and Hellraiser didn't need that many sequels either
The disco opening theme for part 3 is one of the best pieces of music ever.
Jason did go through time square they actually shot that shot there the only shot with with Jason actually in new York
Watch Never Hike in the Snow for a Frosty Jason.
A frosty Jason would look so good. All that red on white
