The problem with May Ri is that even if the makers are trying to show it in a negative light but the way they have showed the young couple bickering (like over bed and sofa thing, other quarrels, getting jealous for one another etc) is making viewers ship them.

Totally totally agreed with amma. Mayi ri is another cancer for society. Its totally glorifying child marriage and those kids have literally became new sensation for young people where the hell is that "message" gone? Drama like "rihai" was best example to give a message against child marriage. Today's dramas can do everything for rating

There is no social message in Mayi Ri, it is just using the theme as clickbait, otherwise the play is a regular soap about saas bahu, dusri shaadi, chalbaaz aurat etc

Mein: Ayeza carried the show on her shoulders till now. But I can see very good tension between Zaid and Mubashira. I know Ayeza and Wahaj are gonna rock it together when they will share the screen. If anyone has doubt about it, just see their photo shoot. They both looked so beautiful together.
Meri mayi is one of the stupidest drama that I have ever watched....I know they are gonna show the after effects soon....but what is the point of glorifying it now?? They are garnering views by romanticising it then they would come to the real issue.

Jannat se agay is a very good drama. I like it so much. Yes, I feel the same about that school-exposing scene in the morning show was a bit over because how could Jannat openly defame a reputed school, and the school principal got scared easily and said sorry. It was unrealistic. Also, it was wrong what Jannat said that schools should know how to behave with parents, especially celebrity parents. This shows her arrogance but how can she say this on a live show? Where she pretends so kind and humble. I felt it was a fault of writing.

100% agree wihh Amma about Mayi Ri. They are glorifying child marriages. I do not see problems in between the couple at all, instead I see comments loving their chemistry and how they bring smile to these young girls face. We need education and improvement in our girls thinking , but instead we are pulling these young girls back to uneducated and unrealistic dreams.
When I see this drama I see young kids playing adult people characters.

For Mayi Ri, I've seen comments saying child marriage is ok. IMAGINE THAT! Makers have completely diverted the topic and are focusing on smth else. And that's the reason why people are getting brainwashed. They should've presented the negatives of child marriages. Why its not okay, whats the effect of it, what are children at that age ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO DO? Study, get independent. That could've added the positives there. Where's the message?
So true, director himself forgot that the drama was to spread awareness on drawbacks/minimising child marriages instead they're glorifying it. They should've shown negative impacts of it but they are romanticizing it. Either for ratings or god knows what. Hating it now.

I have a BUNCH to say about Mayi Ri. I was waiting for amma to point out this absurdity so i could rant lol. Firstly the logic behind the kids getting married was stupid AF. There was no property transfer involved or legal matters involved and the sheer cause of this child marriage was the father's "Dili Khuahish" is that REALLY a valid reason to wed off two MINORS? If i look at the Islamic aspect of it, i understand marriage is allowed between two people who have reached puberty that being said it has always been prescribed to wait until one is an adult to consummate the marriage, the Prophet (S) is an example with his marriage to Ayesha (R),. Lets suppose the father wanted to see his child getting married why couldn't it just have been a nikkah and rukhsati years later when the kids reached adulthood. Also one of the most disturbing factors of this drama was the wedding night and the showing of 'haldi wala doodh' where a MINOR girl drinks the milk and her mother tell her no its for your husband. Are we trying to promote underage sex into society? The other aspect of this is the maker targeting a fetish. Pakistani awam as-is, is pretty frustrated, imagine giving SEVERAL men the idea of two MINOR girl and boy having intercourse. I mean WTF are we trying to achieve. Yes early marriages have pros and cons but those too need to be among CONSENTING ADULTS, meaning the age group of 18-19 year olds ATLEAST. This drama seems to be revolving around a certain fetish and that's honestly pretty off putting. The last thing i would want is creepy men and women imagining my 14 year old son and daughter getting intimate in the bedroom. I would speak about the rest but i can barely make it past THIS absurdity for me to even mention the other stupidities in this drama.

Amma got a bit carried away with kabli pulao review. Haji Mushtaq wasn't looking for romance in his moment with Barbeena. It was genuine empathy mixed with the complication of one-sided love.
