The King is clearly to unwell and I never expected him to come to us this year no matter the good intentions. We have to respect that. Chemotherapy is hard on the body!
Yes and it is accumalitive,as the toxins build up each round it gets harder on the cells.
I had intensive chemo for 6 months at Catherine's age and it was brutal and by cycle 5 I was so Ill ended up in hospital with neutrapenic sepsis from chemo,I said I can't face the last round I quit,my oncologist said no you must complete it it's a course! I did drag myself to my last one and rang the bell afterwards to say end of treatment but it was hell. I feel for anyone going through it.🙏

I'm a 57-year-old South African, but I lecture in China. I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer earlier this year and I am not strong enough to go to South Africa for the summer vacation. I would dearly love to give my 86-year-old mum a hug, but I am just not up to it. The travel issue is real!

It’s 26 hours on a plane ( stop over in Singapore sometimes) thats a heck of a trip at 76 ( almost) and chemo too. There’s always next year.
Only the NZ leg of the trip was cancelled, the King is still going to Australia. He’ll have doctors accompanying him and there can be rest breaks, he will be fine. The media trying to create drama again by misreporting the facts.
The direct flight from Heathrow to Sydney is around 22hours, and about 25 hours to Canberra. The flight to Singapore is about 13hours, and then to Sydney is almost 8 hours, and to Canberra it’s about 10 hours.

The King is still going to Australia, only the New Zealand leg of the trip has been pared back, which he can do separately at another time. The long flight haul to Australia can be staggered with stopovers, it’s not insurmountable.

I think it’s high time that Catherine’s parents were given titles. The Middletons have saved the Royal Family. They have offered William support, raised their children well and through William’s marriage to their daughter, given this Country a wonderful Princess whom we are so proud of. Most importantly, they have always been discreet. - More so than many prominent,born and bred, senior members of the Royal Family.
Maybe when William is King they will get titles.
They have done exactly what normal in laws would do under the same circumstances I definitely don’t see any reason they should get given titles for doing what any loving parent would do!

My 64 year old friend and former partner died four weeks ago, one year after cancer diagnosis. He could barely walk. Trust King Charles will only embark on any overseas tour if his doctors give the all clear.

We were looking forward to King Charles coming to Australia, the states were fighting over the itinery they wanted him to have. It was going to my first time making a concerted effort to see Royalty, although I have seen them before through work.

A misleading headline. To date (23 June) the news in Australia is that the King and Queen are still coming to Australia, but will shorten their tour by a week by omitting their onward journey to New Zealand.
I'm happy King & Queen are coming to Australia, if they come to Perth, I will hope to see them. Not everyone is a monarchist, but there are plenty who are & those that are curious.

Good for King Charles for realizing recovery from cancer treatment takes lots of time and energy and cutting himself some slack! His daughter in law claims she couldn’t even keep up with the tours she was on and she was healthy and how much younger? I’ve had both chemo and radiation at different times for cancer and the spirt may be willing but the body requires time !
-Good decision, his body still looks very tired. Although he is stronger, he still needs lots of resting. In the meantime, he should do more painting, listen to classical music, drink lots of chamomile tea and do some gardening.
