  • The Spanish, Irish and Norwegian governments announced Wednesday that they would recognize a Palestinian state, saying there would be no peace in the Middle East without it. Israel denounced the move as giving aid to its enemy, Hamas. The coordinated announcements are purely symbolic - but not without some power.
    The leaders of the three countries said they hoped their recognition would press Israel, the Palestinians and the international community toward a two-state solution to the conflict.

      The Uighur population in 2020 was 12.1 million, about 800,000 higher than in 2015. What kind of genocide is this???
      Should we trust what we read in Western media. It’s full of anti-China propaganda. If you can’t go to Xinjiang, then at least talk to people who’ve been to Xinjiang. Or who live in Xinjiang.
      Even Turkey which is religiously and ethnically linked to Xinjiang hasn't accused China of genocide.
      Turkey is culturally, genetically and culturally linked to Xinjiang yet hasn't accused China of genocide, despite being a very vocal activist for muslim human rights. Erdogan sent ships to Bangladesh to pick up Rohingyas and his wife personally joined this rescue mission. Erdogan even put economic ties with Europe in jeopardy by attacking the EU on various issues, so you can't possibly accuse Turkey of being careful not to offend China.
      In order to be able to accuse a country or a government of genocide there must be proof in the way of instructions or documents that order the extermination of a certain population. Even the slaughter of the Rohingyas cannot be officially classified as genocide.
      The fact that the Uyghur were not subject to the one-child policy and that Uyghurs can enter top universities in China much easier would debunkers such ‘genocide’ claims. The Uyghur language is one of the official minority languages in China and its Arab writing can be seen on Chinese banknotes.

  • @Valicroix
    @Valicroix Місяць тому +49

    The Palestinians were offered a two state solution not once but twice and refused it both times.
    In 1937 the British Peel commission concluded that the Mandate for Palestine was not working and recommended a partition into Arab and Jewish states. The Arab state would be about 80% of Palestine and the Jewish state about 20%. The Arabs rejected the plan. The Jews accepted it but there is some doubt as to whether they intended to limit themselves to only 20% of the land.
    In 1947 the UNSCOP proposed a partition into Arab and Jewish states as well. This time the Jewish state would be about 55% of the land, but much of it would be the barren Negev desert. Again, the Arabs rejected the plan and began a civil war.
    In 1948 Israel declared its independence and the Arab nations near Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, joined in the war.
    The war ended with Jordan in control of the West Bank, Egypt in control of Gaza and Israel in control of just about everything else.

      @Valicroix 26 днів тому

      @@ABC-sc2ip That's just flat out not true. Learn some actual history.
      In 1947 the UN voted to adopt the Majority Proposal of the UNSCOP. This would have divided Palestine into an Arab state, a Jewish state and an international zone consisting of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Britain was one of ten countries that abstained on the vote.
      The Jews accepted the plan and the Arabs rejected it. That led to civil war between Arab and Jewish militias. The British withdrew and the Mandate for Palestine ended on May 14th, 1948. That same day the establishment of the state of Israel was declared by David Ben Gurion the head of the Jewish Agency for Palestine.
      The establishment of Israel led to the invasion of Palestine by Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. The war continued until 1949.
      I suspect you have a misconception about what is known as Plan Dalet or Plan D which was a military operation designed to capture additional territory and establish more easily defended and secure borders during the civil war.
      The war ended with Jordan in control of the West Bank which it annexed in 1950, Egypt in control of Gaza and Israel in control of the rest of Palestine. Funny how Jordan and Egypt didn't give that land back to the Palestinians isn't it?

    “There will no peace in the Middle East without it”
    One of the dumbest sentences I have ever heard.
    What does peace in the Middle East means? Cause according to you it means Palestinian state without any thoughts of what happens after that.
    Does peace in the Middle East means the Houtis movement will stop existing? Of course not. Your idea that peace in the Middle East is possible is just the idea that forcing a Palestinian state on Israel to appease the extremists is possible. A flawed view on the Middle East and the entire world.

      @April-xl1ht Місяць тому +9

      so forcing a Palestinian state on Israel is bad, but forcing a Israeli state on Palestinian is ok? yeah ok that isn't contradictory at all.
      Anyway no one is even arguing for a Palestinian to be forced on Israel. Plus, while Palestine being independent wont instantly lead to peace in the middle east, it sure will make the lives of millions of people a lot better, which, if you ask me, would for sure help in reaching peace, would it not? Maybe you should try not instantly being rude? I don’t think you understand what I’m saying.
      What I’m saying is that forcing a Palestinian upon Israel will literally solve nothing in the Middle East. Ironically this conflict is so minor compared to the others it’s actually comedic.
      A Palestinian state won’t bring peace to the Middle East if you don’t know how to define peace in The Middle East.
      If you define it as a situation without wars then how would a Palestinian state even help?
      If you define it as making a Palestinian state without think clearly of what happens next then of course you would bring peace in Middle East. At least until the next major war.
      Would Palestinian state stop the houtis? Would a Palestinian state means Iran doesn’t get nuclear weapons?
      Would a Palestinian state stop the current war in Sudan and stop Azerbaijan and Armenia from killing each other?
      What about the Kurds would they get Kurdistan?
      I’m not calling them out for supporting Palestine, I’m calling them out giving the wrong definition to a minor conflict.
      If you think it would help reach a Middle Eastern peace then be my guest and explain but a Middle Eastren peace needs to include at least some of the list above.

      @April-xl1ht 29 днів тому +4

      @@happyjay9168 I have already answered all your questions already in the previous comment. But I'll explain it to you like you're 5.
      To start off, no one is forcing a Palestine state on Israel, its much the opposite in fact. But lets ignore that lie for now.
      As I have said, would Palestine becoming a state instantly make the Middle East a happy little region filled with nothing but sunshine and rainbows? No, obviously. But issues like descrimination, extremism and terrorism don't come out of nowhere. No one goes out with the boys to the bar one day and go "hey wanna go commit acts of terror next friday?". These things come out of social instability.
      For example, Hamas exists due to social instability due to Israeli apartheid, which is when one ethnic group has all the rights in a nation (in this case, the Jewish) and another group has none of the rights (in this case, the palestinains). Had there been no social instability (i.e the aparteid) there would've been no Hamas. This applies to everywhere, not just Palestine. The N@zis, for example, were much the same, as that terror group only could exist due to the social instability in germany after the treaty of versailles after WW1.
      Recognising Palestine would be one step in bringing social stability to palestine. If Palestinians would be treated equal and not be second class citizens in the Israeli apartheid, then that would lead to more social stability, more social stability leads to more social progression. And that would be one step, even if small, to bringing peace to the middle east.
      To use germany as an example again. After WW2, instead of punishing germany for the war, the west helped to develop germany. This lead to more social stability, which allowed germany to social progress. And what do you know? It worked. Germany in modern day being one of the most successful, developed and progressive countries in modern day. Had we punished germany for WW2, like what we are doing to Palestine right now, it would've just lead to a N@zi 2. Social instability leads to extremism, social stability leads to progress. It is as simple as that.

      At the time of the creation of Israel there were exactly zero Palestinians there. The Palestinians are the ones who fled when the nation was invaded by the Arab legion. The nation of Israel was formed while this invasion was going on. The Arab Muslims that stayed became citizens of this new nation and lost nothing.
      The Arab legion lost in the first of a long series of frankly astounding Israeli victories. The Palestinians (as we call them now) were told they were no longer welcome in the land they abandoned in it's time of greatest need. (In fact many had joined with the invading armies) They are still pissed off about grandparents greed and cowardice.
      I might be sympathetic if that was the end of it but instead they have over the last 75 years repeatedly demonstrated 1. That the Israelis were wise in telling them to stay out. and 2. The surrounding Arab-Muslim majority nations were wise in not taking them in as every nation who has have been betrayed by them. They have been awful to anyone near them and scream about being a victim if anyone responds. I once thought people and nations were being heartless about them but now I see that they are being rational about them. They are a living example of the fable of the frog and the scorpion.

      Ummmm, babe. One guy was living in his apartment for his entire life. Some other guy who had been in the neighborhood many years ago but has been struggling out in the world came over and asked if he could stay in his spare room. The owner welcomed him with open arms.
      Then the guest declared himself on the lease. Then he took over a second bedroom. Then the kicked the owner out from the living room. He went into the owners bedroom, destroyed everything and made him live in the closet. He cut off access to the bathroom, the kitchen, and all of his food and supplies.
      Every time he tries to come out he's accused of terrorism against the new "rightful" owner of the apartment and attacked. When he cries out to the neighbors for help, he's attacked. The new owner won't let him out, but keeps attacking him inside his tiny closet where he has no food or medicine.
      But the city council has agreed that the "new owner" has the right to do whatever he wants to the people trapped inside "his" apartment. The whole rest of the city says the original owner has rights and deserves to be recognized, but the council is run by a handful of rich people who would rather the 2 tenants kill each other than that either of them lives in peace anywhere.
      Now the richest one says "Well, let them come to an agreement about sharing the apartment"
      That's what's going on here. I only started getting factual information about this situation a few years ago but let me mske this very clear. Until **after** World War 2, there was no such thing as Isreal state in Palestine. The people who came up with the idea of moving Jewish people into Palestine as a "new Jewish homeland" were also very deeply influenced by Nazi propaganda, but were applying to themselves as the "superior race" to Palestinians.
      Most Jewish people were not aware of any of this and just wholeheartedly believed in the version they were being told, which was played out very neatly at first. That analogy of sharing an apartment? Uncomfortably on the nose actually. Families were literally taking in "refugees" who then a few years later, kicked the families from their homes and took them over.
      Entire families were thrown to the streets or refugee camps, and it has been difficult for any of them to get out. Exactly like the Jewish people in WW2, no one wants to take in these refugees (who were created by themselves taking in refugees) so there's nowhere for them to go, even if they can afford to get out, if they are even allowed out.
      So instead the world powers actively support genocide, just like they did in WW2 when they knew Hitler was killing Jewish people but didn't care what he did until he invaded an Allied country 😒

    Reminding everyone that palastine does not exsist and has never exsist. It would be like if Republican and Democrat states were recognised as 2 seperate countries by the rest of the world. The closest thing we have ever had to palastine was under British control as a British colony...

    Imagine having Hamas in UN, oh. Anyway, it's interesting Taiwan isn't considered.

      It wouldn't be Hamas running the Palestine state, it would be the Palestinian Authority, which is based in West Bank.
      Imagine having opinions about the situation in Israel without even knowing that there are TWO Palestinian political factions. One of which is the militant extremist faction that kicked off this latest genocide. The other one being the one that wanted the peaceful 2-state solution.
      Imagine not even knowing THAT, let alone the fact that Israel actively FUNDED Hamas for 13 fucking years.

      It's not Hamas in the UN, it's the Palestinian territory, including the west bank and parts of Gaza, Hamas is the party in GAZA, not the entirety of Palestine
