The case reviewed seems to be a very nice piece and looks to be of quality build.
Over the years my needs for travel gear have continually been focused toward minimizing the piles of "stuff" I accumulate to be dragged around. The more gear I carried around the more of it disappeared. Some losses due to loss, some theft, some due to beer.
Many times the airlines have shown me that what goes on the conveyor belt where your flight departs may not come out the other end when you land. Or, your 3 piece rod tube takes a ride on the baggage carousel after being flattened by a fork lift.
When flying I carry-on my sticks in a tube and my reels in my carry-on bag. That way, when my other bag ends up in Istanbul I can still go fishing. If I whine enough one of my buds will sometimes lend me a t-shirt and some used boxers to wear for the duration.
On the flip side if you are on a road trip and working out to the back of your vehicle a case like this makes sense. Your gear is all in one container and protected from electric windows, slamming tailgates, airborne coolers, your pals bird dog or your drunk buddies big backside.
One of these days I will pull the trigger on such a case.
I like the MIDCURRET inside the box series. It offers some good insight into what the FF industry continues to develop. Accessorizing and updating is part of the party for me.
JZ...Me thinks Scott is a fly fishing enthusiast, not a card carrying AFTRA spokesman. IMHO his delivery comes across well.

Will this case accommodate a 10ft 4-peice rod?

      Hi Doug
The rod compartment is 31-1/8" long wall to wall. So a 10ft rod should fit just fine (120"/4 gives us 30" each section). Give your rods a measure to make sure.
      We appreciate your business!

Except for the really nice looks I do not see how this is better that Orvis All in One at half the price. Such case would be amazing for 5000+ dollars bamboo rods. Too bad there are not many 4pcs bamboo rods out there.
The designers should go back to the drawing board, the inside needs redesigning.
