The most useful video I’ve seen about the Metris. I bet those folding seats make all the difference. Thanks for sharing!
😃 Thanks for watching and the kind comment! Yes, the folding/sliding/reclining seats really transformed the van. We can do so much more with it now.
Thank you for this video life saver! Haha been wanting to get an example as we just bought a metris yesterday haha
Congrats! It's a great van. The sliding track and folding seats make all the difference. Also, with the tracks, you can mount anything on there ie make a folding table, cabinets, etc
That's so nice. I always wanted something like that.
Thank you! Check out Metrisseats.com Surinder is the owner and he's very helpful
Please give an updated video of the seat upgrade...anything you'd do differently and does everything work great still?
I'll let you know if we make an updated video. Maybe when we take it camping. We absolutely love it. It's our favorite thing we've done to the van. It makes it so functional. We go to Home Depot a lot and love that we can fold the seats down to fit full sheets of plywood and the kids say theyre sooo comfortable falling asleep when coming back from long trips. They used to wale up with neck pain, but now they're lounging since they can recline the seats!
Hi there ! Great video 👍🏻
Is that Roofnest Falcon XL on top ?
Got myself Metris and now looking for rooftop tent. Thinking about regular Falcon or wider XL. You have any pictures of it ?
Hi! It's the Roofnest Falcon Pro. It's low profile, so we can still fit our van in our garage with a 2 inch lift and 225/65/17 geolander mt g003
@@TheChungKids thanks. Falcon Pro is like 54” wide.
Does it stick out on the sides ?
@@bodanik it's actually perfect width. What is your email? I can send some pictures
Where did you buy those euro seats and tracks? Thanks.
Metrisseats.com owner is Surinder 951-403-1797. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable.
What was the total cost for this seat setup? I'm looking at doing something very similar.
Hi! I can't remember exactly how much because I paid cash, but I believe one row (3 seater bench was around $1500-1800) the 3rd seat is removable so you can make it a 2-seater as well. I believe the sliding tracks were around $700-$1000, but this is only necessary if you want the seats to slide and you want to be able to adjust the positions. You can put the Euro seats on the North American tracks as well. Give Surinder a call and he can give you all the updated pricing. Thanks for watching!
the music makes it near impossible to hear what you're saying
I wish there was a way to remove it. You could try turning off the sound, and turn on the caption and see if that solves the issue.
The fact these seats aren’t standard in the US version is a serious oversight by MB. Thank you for showing us this
@Jorge thanks for watching, and I completely agree. These seats really make the van so much more practical!
