What a blessing to any community that receives Assyrian Christians.
Here in Detroit, we have many Chaldeans Catholics. Thank them for coming as they add so much.
    Blessings and peace.

@Chaldean King to be specific Chaldean means Catholic. When you guys split from the Church of the East the pope called you Chaldean to seperate you from the orthodox Assyrians. And that has led to so much pointless division between us to the point that there are chaldos that hate Assyrians and Assyrians that hate chaldos. I'm Chaldean Catholic my self from Detroit but I live in Sydney now and I even know Qasha Narsai who is a bishop now and goes by Mar Awraham. He's an amazing person and good friend of mine. For the last 4 years I've been going to the Assyrian church because I know that's where my roots are and it's just a completely different feeling. Same prayers and almost the same traditions during Razza but just feels different for me in the Assyrian church.

We have different groups. The majority are Orthodox (like Greeks, Armenians, Russians). However, we also have Catholics (these are Chaldeans). Their roots and fore- fathers are all Assyrian but they dont identify as Assyrian. They followed Rome and The Pope. (They call themselves Chaldeans -not Assyrian, sadly. This is similar to Macedonian's who refuse to be called Greek. Therefore, as an Assyrian, I am Orthodox. Hope this helps...sorry response to your question came so late. ✝️🙏

Also, why is it sad that we call ourselves chaldeans and not assyrians? Why would we claim to be assyrian when we are not and have our own culture? I would also like to point out that there are more chaldeans than assyrians so to assume the majority are orthodox is a joke. There are more catholics then there are orthodox. I have many assyrian friends but unlike you, they do not pin point and segregate, they believe we are all one but you are an example and sole reason why there is a fracture in both our communities.

So now i am not sure, all i see, and read phrases from bible seem that god was mad on assyrians.. am i right? is god welcoming us? or did he forgive us? i know he forgives everyone but, in bible, does he say nice things about us?

Don't be confused young king, in ancient times all tribes were cruel. After receiving the message of Prophet Jonah in Nineveh we started to change and live a more peaceful existence. Then came the message of Jesus in Edessa which all but solidified our path to a peaceful coexistence, but our neighbors were not so lucky.

John MacLean (1851-1928) Methodist minister, missionary, scholar, book collector, librarian and archivist. "To apply the name 'Assyrians' to these Eastern Syriac Christians appears to me either an error, or else pedantry. There is really no proof that they have any connection with the Old Assyrians."
Adrian Fortescue | 1913 LITURGIST, ARTIST, CALLIGRAPHER, COMPOSER. ”The favourite name now among their Anglican sympathizers seems to be the Assyrian Church. This is the worst of all. They are Assyrians in no possible sense. They live in one corner of what was once the Assyrian Empire. Their land was also once covered by the Babylonian Empire. Why not 'the Babylonian Church'? ... Why should this one little sect in its remote corner inherit the name of the whole mighty and long-vanished Empire? And, of course, 'Assyrian Church' is emphatically not its old, accepted, or common name. It is a new fad of a handful of Anglicans. One sees a book called The Doctrinal Position of the Assyrian Church, and one wonders what Church can be meant that of Asurbanipal?”
(Today) Ingmar Karlsson, Honorary doctor in teologi and Lund university wrote in 1986 at ”Dagbladet” when researching why some people say Syriacs and others Assyrians. This was his conclusion: "the Assyrian empire was overthrown in 612 BC and then the Assyrians disappeared from world history. The groups that today call Assyrians do not have their origins in the Assyrian empire and the language they speak is not the same as the old Assyrian. Today, the term Assyrians is used mostly by chance and has no ethnic roots"

I think English mass is a bad idea.if they loose their language they loose a big part of their culture.also I think they should try to remove the curses in their life . Since their ancestor s have she'd blood their descendants are reaping the results of that. Also without removing the curses if they think they are safe in Australia or other Western nation's they will be wrong .as they have been driven out of Iraq ..their blood will also be she'd in Australia and they will be driven out

These are not all of the Assyrians in Australia. This documentary is only focused on the Assyrians from the Church of the East. The title of your video should be called ACOE Assyrians, as there are Assyrians that do not belong to these churches.

One day we will return to our country. Assyria belongs to the Assyrians. Isaiah 19:23-25
Nearly six million Assyrian Christians dot the world.
Mesopotamia is the homeland of the Assyrians. The famous royal cities of the Assyrians, Ashur, Nimrud (Kalhu), Arbela, Dur-Sharrukin and Nineveh were built in it. The Assyrians ruled for approximately 1,300 years - from about 2000 B.C. to 612/10 BC - in northern Mesopotamia an ancient landscape between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. A clear reference to the existence of the Assyrians, on the other hand, can already be found in the Old Testament (1st Book of Moses 2:14).
    There it says:
    * “… the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates..."

Those who call themself ”assyrians”” have absolutely nothing to do with ancient assyrians. It is a mere creation which took place in 19century. Their real name is nestorian syriacs. The term Assyrians is a re-creation of Western archaeologists and missionaries. Its history begins in the early 19th century. After about 2400 years of burial in the tomb, the English archaeologist Henry Layard succeeded in reviving it among the mass media and historians. Later, the missionaries from the Anglican Church active in the Orient succeeded in spreading it among Aramaic people, the Chaldeans and the Nestorians (the East Syrian Church). The missionaries helped east syriacs with supplies and migration to america. In time, the term Assyrians gained a foothold among them and began to apply it to themselves. The truth is that the modern term ”assyrian” is coined by Henry Lauard who was active in the Orient in the 1820-40s searched for finds to the ancient Assyrians. When he found the Nestorians and Chaldeans in the area, he thought they were a remnant of the extinct Assyrians who were wiped out in the 6th century BC. Since then, "an Assyrian fever" has been created. The missionaries of the American Anglican Church in the 1880s began to adopt Layard's theories in their missionary work and came into contact with the Nestorians and the Chaldeans. These missionaries fulfilled much of the needs of the Nestorians and Chaldeans, they also helped with the transfer to America. In this way, the Assyrian idea gained a foothold and was strengthened among the Nestorians and Chaldeans in America and the Middle East. I.e there exist neither a people or language called assyrian. Their real name is nestorian Syriac, and before changing the name of their church in the 70s to ”assyrian” church to fit their propaganda it was called the nestorian church of the east.
In their mother tounge which is Syriac and not assyrian they have never called themselfs ”authoroyo” (assyrian) but always Sureyt (Syriac/aramaeans).

Typical Aramean propaganda…you speak Suret/Surayt (which means Assyrian - Ashuret). The language you speak is not pure Aramaic… it’s a mix of the language ancient Arameans (extinct) brought to the Assyrian empire, when they were assimilated, which is Aramaic and also Akkadian (language of Assyrian forefathers). The land the “Arameans” live on (Syria) gets it name from Assyria. The Arameans are extinct and no one identified as such until the 20th century. You can’t say the same about Assyrians. We have liturgical, governmental, and other types of documents that refer to us as Assyrians, consistently in the time since Christ. The Iranic Sassanian empire had a province called Asoristan between the 3rd and 7th century, which means land of Ashur (like Assyria)… The only possibility of an Aramean people are those of Maaloula and a couple other villages in West Syria that speak pure Aramaic (Aromay/Siryon), identical to Jesus’ mother tongue.

    • @ckalo7
      @ckalo7 Рік тому +1

And Suraye/Suryoye comes from Ashuraye (Assyrian). Aramean is Aromoye. Syriac is a modern term created to denote Christians in Syria (hence SyriaC). Your Syriac Orthodox Church was called Syrian Orthodox Church previously; they changed that in the 2000s.

Fr. Narsai is not only introducing liturgies in English, he is also a member of a Church that is ashamed of its Nestorian Doctrine. The latter doctrine is the True Doctrine as elaborated upon by Saints Diodore of Tarsus and Saint Theodore of Mopsuestia. The documentary fails to mention the existence of a large minority of Assyrians (In Australia and New Zealand probably 30% - 40% of the total Assyrians in these two countries) who are faithful to the original, unadutarated and unpolluted Dogma of Saint Nestorius as was laid out in his book 'the bazaar of Herecliades'. My question to Fr. Narsai is the following: since you are so concerned with Assyrian youth understanding each and every word in the Raza (Liturgy) are you also concerned with them understanding what sets the Church of the East apart from that of the Miaphysites and the Ephesians and Chalcedonians who introduced the insane heresies of the Blessed Virgin supposedly being 'Mother of God' (as if the creature can give birth to its creator!!!). Are you dear Fr. Narsai really working to promote the unique doctrine of the Assyrians for which hundreds of thousands were martyred not only by Muslims but mainly by Chalcedonian 'Christians' and Zoroastrian Pagans or do you simply wish to promote a post modern 'churchianity' as did the late Mar Dinkha who communed with the Roman Papists and signed false declarations with them.
If the documentary mentioned the Ancient Church of the East and that it is still faithful to the Nestorian Doctrine and proud of it I would brand it as educational but due to the lack of this I can say it is mediocre at best. The rule of thumb that should be a guiding principle for every Assyrian Christian is that if the world approves there must be something fishy going on.

I’m a fellow Assyrian and I have a lot of questions about the church. How can I learn about nestorious? I was studying theology by through the Coptic church because we don’t have a college. The priests at the Coptic church believe Nestor was a heretic and this left me really confused so I stoped studying it

    Isaiah 11
