After 24 years in business I have 3 things I scan before I short-list a resume to actually read in detail. One is experience in the exact same role, at a high level firm in our industry niche (many people sneak in from general roles). It saves me 1000s in training costs as they only need to be shown our unique SOPs and make us $$$ immediately day one.
How can hiring managers effectively balance the need for concise and clear resumes with the requirement for sufficient detail, especially for specialized roles that may require extensive experience and a comprehensive skill set?
