For a tearing ruler with the decorative edge I use a very long serrated bread knife with a more irregular blade pattern. Works a treat! I definitely have stamp envy. Great ideas for using the Studio Light paper blocks. Here's a tip for your glossy paper - you can use matte medium to make your glossy paper into matte paper.
I have vintage papers from 1920’s that are light pink blue and green. They are the license papers for the radio battery. In western Canada a license was required for the batteries to operate a radio.
I discovered that I can cut an edge with my old pinking(now paper not cloth) scissors then trim off the tips of points it looks like ticket ends and postage stamp edges.

I broke down and purchased the Vaessen Whale tail tab punch because they are impossible to get ( I’m in the US so I had to pay the outrageous shipping, but I think it’s well worth it) Can’t wait to get it-probably the only paper crafting item I will splurge on for the rest of the year! Fun idea for the glossy paper try sanding it with sandpaper I did it with a denim paper to make them look worn and it came out great

Hi I use clear gesso to dull shiny paper. A bit gritty but kills the shine. Keep up the great. Hugs Carolyn
I made my own version of clear gesso by using actual gesso/plaster, water and glue. It does get very gritty, but I actually love the texture!
